He's mocking CP0's flop. That was WWE-level acting from the flop gawd, impressive.

Try jumping mid air and have someone come under your legs...and see how much control you have...
Have had this happen to me in a game and popped my shoulder out...happens so quickly you have no time to react really.
Cp3 is a flopper...this wasn't a flop though.
He may have originally played for a foul....but the actual foul and fall wasn't milked.

It was, he knew contact was coming so he went for the shot & kicked his legs out, but Beverley had nowhere to go there as he was being screened by Ayton (which you could argue was a moving screen), he can't give CP0 the landing space as he's getting hit and pushed into him at the same time, CP0 was willing to end his career over one play, just a stupid move by Paul IMO.

I dunno...i kinda saw the leg flying up as the momentum of bev going under him.
When ya bodies in mid air with someone pushing you, you have little control and move quickly
Anyway...I'm gonna give him a pass this one time haha

He def took a hard fall but that shit was at least 90% self inflicted, lmao. What a bitch.
Beverly did undercut him... then again Ayton was moving... but Paul's initial flop is the overwhelming primary factor that turned it into a dangerous play and it is the reason he ended up on his back like that.
This type of shit will continue until the NBA decides to once and for all actually do something about the fact that guys play for fouls rather than playing the ****ing game. Which I suspect they will not do. They might take some half measures... but no full measures will be taken and the bullshit will continue.
You all know damn good and well that if this were a pickup game in the streets nobody is playing for fouls. They're just trying to make plays and stay on their feet at all times.

Right. He definitely was moving. The tv guys belabored the play for 10 minutes but never mentioned how Ayton moving contributed to the contact. Ridiculous.

There's a lot of nuance going on here.
Beverly was aggressively chasing and would likely hit him no matter what. Ayton was setting a moving screen that further pushed Beverly into Paul.
But primarily, just as I said, Chris Paul playing for a foul and flopping is the major factor as to why he ended up on his back. Here's a slow mo replay with a much better angle. Clearly Chris Paul is jumping into Beverly.

He's a bitch, plain and simple. The NBA is a broken product.
I still come here and post here out of habit after doing it for 20 ****ing years but I don't watch any regular season games anymore and very flew playoff games. Their product is continuing to move away from being about basketball and continuing to move towards strictly entertainment.
It was an unnatural shooting motion plain and simple. If the NBA cared about the integrity of their product, Chris Paul would be suspended.
After review it was considered unnecessary contact by Beverly? These officials suck ****ing ass. I know that they have a tough job that's almost impossible to officiate in real time... but that was their ruling after review? They are absolute dogshit at their jobs and they should be straight up fired.
BTW, I want the Clippers to lose. **** those guys. I'm just saying. The NBA is a bad product. No two ways about it.

Refs need to just stop calling fouls they dont actually see.
Ive never understood how refs can call fouls that didnt happen. Why did you blow your whistle when the replay clearly shows a foul didnt happen? What exactly did your eyes see that prompted you to call contact that wasnt made??
I do believe the league supports the regular calling of fouls regardless of whether they happen, for the sake of simply spelling players. Running up and down without a break is tiring as fvck obviously which leads to sloppy basketball. Then you gotta sit your best players more often etc. Fouls provide valuable rest opportunity.
And the bottom line is they have no incentive to change anything if fans are gonna watch regardless. Which they are.
