Since the NBA has become a glorified three point contest and the way it's heading, it's only gonna get worse...what about putting a four point line since a lot of these young chuckers are already needlessly hoisting up 26 plus foot 3pters? Might as well reward them for hitting longer threes, no? Not a big fan of the nonstop chucking but I guess the NBA loves it so why not reward it? How far should a four point line be if you agree?

What say you?

I'm not sure, but how about playing with a short 3 point line like in Jordan's era, give a taste to the players how really easy it was in the 90's.

Nah basketball would be unwatchable. Numbers from years prior would also be immaterial.

In the playoffs, and with the regularized line, Jordan shot better than LeBron. :confusedshrug:

Why stop at 4. 10 point shot from the opposite free throw line.
And if you make 5 shots in a row the 6th is worth 25.

New rule: If you make a half-court shot, you win the game instantly

LeBron has a higher career postseason 3pt% than MJ despite Jordan playing 3 postseasons with a short 3 point line.

But Jordan shot better than LeBron did with the non "WNBA" line. Why?

Every player shoots 3s nowadays. Lopez brothers shot nearly 0 at the start of their careers and are shooting at close to 40% now. Shit look at blake griffin etc. But yeah, it's iconceivable that players pre 2010s can't shoot 3s. Even the dumb bow shot of lebron can shoot 3s better now.

Yeah, three point line was not always a thing, you know that, right? Had the 3 pt line existed in the 60s, there would've been better shooters in the years after unless you believe human evolution happens in terms of generations

:lol

Can you imagine the frustration as a coach and a fan of seeing your team chuck 4 pointers from half court and clanking them off the backboard and rim or just completely airballing them.

Thats why they should be made instawin shots. Even if you go 1 of 58 or whatever, its still fine

They aren't that far from that, Trae Young was hurling some ridiculous 28 footers when he could've shot them from closer :oldlol:
