kobe's got some very good games in there but nothing like the championship-clinching spurs and warriors masterpiece games. or the 2012 game-7 masterpiece against the celtics.
two different tiers of players.
are those the game 7's lebron was gifted by ray allen and adam silver
you forgot kyrie
lebron in the last 3 games of the series:
41 points
41 points
29-point triple double + iconic game-saving block
"buh buh kyrie" :oldlol:
at least kobe earned his game 7's
and i remember him coming up huge in 2000 wcf when shaq wet the bed .. leading LA in points, rebounds, assists and blocks
and then again vs the kings in 2002 while playing with food poisoning
then did this in the last 15 minutes of game 7 vs boston
3:09 left in 3rd - Kobe 2 point shot ( boston 56 - lakers 49 )
2:37 left in 3rd - Gasol 2 free throws ( boston 56 - lakers 51 )
2:21 left in 3rd - Kobe 11th rebound
1:10 left in 3rd - Odom 2 point layup off kobe pass ( boston 57 - lakers 53 )
11:43 left in 4th - Gasol 2 point shot ( boston 57 - lakers 55 )
8:46 left in 4th - Kobe 3 points, fouled on shot ( boston 59 - lakers 58 )
7:29 left in 4th - Artest 3 point play ( boston 61 - lakers 61 )
6:13 left in 4th - fisher 3 pointer ( boston 64 - lakers 64 )
5:56 left in 4th - Kobe 12th rebound
5:56 left in 4th - Kobe 2 points. fouled on shot ( boston 64 - Lakers 66 )
5:36 left in 4th - Kobe 13th rebound
5:23 left in 4th - Kobe 2 point jumpshot ( boston 64 - Lakers 68 )
5:01 left in 4th - Kobe 14th rebound
4:39 left in 4th - Kobe assist to Gasols 2 free throws ( boston 64 - lakers 70 )
4:20 left in 4th - Kobe 15th rebound
3:21 left in 4th - Kobe 1 point, fouled on dunk attempt ( boston 66 - lakers 71 )
2:47 left in 4th - Kobe assist to Gasols 2 free throws ( boston 68 - lakers 73 )
2:20 left in 4th - loose ball foul Gasol 1 free throw ( boston 68 - lakers 74 )
1:30 left in 4th - Gasol 2 point shot ( boston 70 - lakers 76 )
1:01 left in 4th - Kobe assist to Artests 3 pointer ( Boston 73 - Lakers 79 )
0:25 left in 4th - Kobe 2 points, fouled on drive attempt ( boston 76 - lakers 81 )
0:11 left in 4th - intentional foul on vujacic ( boston 79 - lakers 83 )
was a miserable shooting night but hey it was an ugly series. he hit his freethrows so good job there.
lebron is a true GOAT candidate so we have to hold him to a higher standard. aka the gold standard™.

kyrie scored 51 points to lebrons 26 before the first 3 wins became blow outs and lebron started stat padding in garbage time
and lebron bricked his last 4 shots before kyries 3 to win the series
I watched the series. kyrie hit the biggest shot of his life but lebron carried the team all year and all playoffs - and the hardware and stats prove it.
who do you think the warriors were more worried about on the court?
pierce and allen combined for like 8 for 29 that game. kobes shooting didn't matter. he closed the deal. thats what winners do. losers like lebron rely on others to do it for them
unlike lebron... kobe put the lakers up for good in game 7
you cant mask the fact that he shot 6 for 24. I watched the game - he was awful. and it was a close game so he almost chucked himself out of a championship. good thing artest was there to bail him out.
those lakers in general were dominating the frontcourts of other teams. pau and odom alone was too much for most to handle.

Everybody knows this was the GOAT game 7, don't be hating on a guy who played for your own team either OP. Go back and watch the game, Siakam was deer in the headlights and completely scared to touch the ball.
USAGE: Kawhi 48.1%
Lowry 17.7%
Siakam 16.3%
Gasol 7.9% (lol)
BPM: Kawhi 11.8
Lowry -1.1
Siakam 0.6
Gasol -1.7
and he topped it off with a buzzer beater game winner
carrying a team all playoffs before the finals doesn't win you finals mvp. see kobe 2001.... kobe could have just hogged after shaq put them up every game vs philly and hijacked finals mvp from shaq.. but guess what. he isn't that petty
and like i said. both teams shot horribly the first 3 quarters. kobe took the game home in the last 15 minutes. he had a hand in every play on both ends down the stretch
any true laker fan would acknowledge that kobe played like shit.
you have to be a delusional stan to defend that putrid 6 for 24 game 7 game. nearly gave one away to the celtics with his selfish chucking.
like I said - good thing artest hit that three.
now THAT is the definition of getting saved. :oldlol:

kawhi is a lower tier than these two other players.
thats for a separate thread. maybe the bronze standard.
how is a 3 when you're already up 3 being saved?
and I said kobe sucked through 2 quarters and 9 minutes
he saved the game for LA in the 4th. he had a hand in every score and rebound/stop
it felt like the lakers were about to lose. home crowd was nervous both teams were bricking.
artest's three saved kobe's legacy really. can you imagine if he went 0-2 against LA's main rival?
he wouldn't be nearly as loved as he is today. you can say artest saved his legacy. really.
kobe put the Lakers up for good dumbass. how is another guy extending the lead kobe gave the f*cking Lakers that guy saving his damn legacy. Jesus christ
not gonna lie I was a full-blown hater at the time. it just reeked of being saved.
kobe was doing everything in his power to show us what chucking looks like, on the biggest stage.
bricking shot after shot after shot. it was like a clinic on how to miss shots.
I just dont think he could've hit that three. so again, artest saved his legacy.

if you wanna see more games like kobes game 7 vs Boston all you gotta do is look up the first 6 games of the 2013 finals and the entire 2015 finals. lebron literally shot under 30% outside of 5 feet in both those series
there's nothing in sports like a game 7. its when the lights are brightest and the pressure is the highest.
thats when you really know a players worth.
greatest game 7 performer of all time is just another little feather in the cap.

Wade destroyed those Celtics. Averaged like 35 points on SKY HIGH shooting percentages. :oldlol: Lakers/Boston G7 was a low scoring brickfest. Nobody shot well. Kobe did a great job being effective in other areas, like rebounding and playing defense. He underperfomed though. Mightily.

still came through when it mattered against the thunder and spurs.

is anyone ever gonna give kobe a pass for having a broken shooting hand .. like anyone here every wrapped an entire roll of hockey tape around their index finger and gone out and shot 24 times wide open let alone contested with something on the line
Jordan doesn't get an excuse for playing with cracked knuckles or a severed index finger. Stop being a bitch. If you play all is fair.

Wade and Kobe were like 1A/B during their prime. Lot of the stans might disagree, but Wade put in that WORK. Played through injuries all the time, and was never awarded an excuse.
my kobe hater mind tells me that you can throw kobe off in a series by playing that tough eastern conference gritty defense with tayshaun and posey and pierce and ray.
I'd love to see kobe and prime kawhi play for example.
I think kawhi would lock kobe down.

1. I have jordan as the goat. and I don't really remember any knuckle issues. never once saw jordan with a hand wrap..
2. a cut on your finger is literally not even in the same universe as a fracture. that's utterly ridiculous. Jordan's had perfect health compared to kobes issues. I think kobes had surgery on every limb/tendon/joint on his body and now it's literally in 1000 pieces slowly turning into dust 6 feet under. never disrespect what kobes had to go through in life
Nobody cares what you remember. Its all documented. Look it up. Jordan played with those ailments throughout the 98 year. Not going to touch on Kobe dying. Why would you even mention that? Have some class dipshit. That's not relevant to the topic at hand.

Kobe for the record has zero arguments over being ranked all-time over Wilt.
As one Wilt is a better game seven performer than Kobe and also elimination game performer.
Also all of Kobe's scoring records that you brag about Wilt craps all over them despite the fact that he was only focused on scoring for only seven seasons of his 14-year career.
I challenge you to find a Kobe playoff run that is better than Wilt's 1967 playoff run in which he averaged
21.7 PTS 29.1 REBS 9.0 ASTS 9.2 BLKS FG% 57.9 on route to a title.

Ok, here are the known numbers in Wilt's game sevens in the playoff games and his starting opposing centers in those games.
Game seven of the 61-62 ECF's, against Boston, in a 109-107 loss. Wilt with 22 points and 14 blocks on 7-15 shooting, with 21 rebounds. Russell had 19 points, on 7-14 shooting, with 22 rebounds in the win.
Game seven of the 63-64 WCF's, and against St. Louis, in a 105-95 win. Wilt with 39 points, 26 rebounds, and 10 blocks. His opposing center, Zelmo Beaty, who would go on to become a multiple all-star, had 10 points in the loss.
Game seven of the 64-65 ECF's, and against Boston, a 110-109 loss. Wilt with 30 points and 8 blocks on 12-15 shooting, with 32 rebounds. Russell had 15 points, on 7-16 shooting, with 29 rebounds in the win.
Game seven of the 68-69 Finals, against Boston, in a 108-106 loss. Chamberlain had 18 points and 10 blocks on 7-8 shooting, with 27 rebounds. Russell had 6 points, on 2-7 shooting, with 21 rebounds in the win.
Game seven of the first round of the 69-70 playoffs, against Phoenix, and in a 129-94 win, which capped a 4-3 series win after falling behind 3-1 in the series. Wilt with 30 points, 27 rebounds, and 11 blocks. Fox had 7 points in the loss.
Game seven of the 69-70 Finals, against NY, in a 113-99 loss. Wilt with 21 points, on 10-16 shooting, with 24 rebounds. HOFer Willis Reed had 4 points, on 2-5 shooting, with 3 rebounds in the win.
Game seven of the first round of the 70-71 playoffs, against Chicago, in a 109-98 win. Wilt with 25 points and 18 rebounds plus 7 blocks 7-0 Tom Boerwinkle had 4 points for the Bulls in the loss.
Game seven of the first round of the 72-73 playoffs, against Chicago, in a 95-92 win. Wilt with 21 points and 28 rebounds and 8 blocks His opposing center, Clifford Ray, had 4 points.
That was it when it came to Wilt's game sevens throughout his career.
As Wilt played in nine of them, and his team went 4-5.
He also averaged 24.4 ppg, 26.7 rpg, 4.1 APG, 7.5 bpg, .62.6 FG%, .45.1 FT%, and a .57.9 TS%. BTW, that .62.6 FG% is easily the highest of a "GOAT" candidate.

This guy's acting like a 20 point lead means the game is already over, like he's never watched a single basketball game in his entire pathetic life; especially if you're thinking this in the 1st quarter. Well you know what this means. You really don't watch games do you? You are a true box score watcher. And that's really sad because I thought you were an actual fan and a baller but it turns out you're another low IQ'd box score watcher that doesn't understand this game. What a shame.

I know you're old but you're not that old are you? The font is rather large but just incase you didn't learn numbers in Canada or you're just an old, blind man, the image clearly states "35/10/6 on 49%" is the Gold standard meaning NOTHING that Kobe has ever done.
