Out of the players in the league as they exist right now...
Stephen Curry... as much as it pains me to say it, maybe even Harden.
Out of your list of names, at their peaks, 100% healthy, the 4 supporters end up being...
Capela, Turkoglu, Jefferson, Hinrich
I put about 3 minutes of thought into this. I dunno. Everyone on that list nowadays better be your 4th best player on offense to win a title... there are a couple of 3rds... there are no 2nds at quick glance. (lol i didn't notice the thread title fully)
Also I was really tempted to include PJ Brown in place of Capela and Elliot in place of RJ but idk.

I can’t put my finger on why but I just don’t want Richard Jefferson in this situation.

Kirk Hinrich (2007)
Sean Elliott (1996)
Hedo Turkoglu (2008)
Kevin Durant
Clint Capela (2021)
This team would have great rim protection, with elite shooting, size, and length. Durant has the ability to take over the game and Turkoglu, Elliott, and Hinrich provide great outlets to stretch the floor with Turkoglu and Elliott having the ability to hit clutch shots. Hinrich, Turkoglu, and Durant are all capable ball handlers and can initiate the offense.
Defending wings would probably be this teams biggest weakness. Hinrich is 6'4 and even though that's great size for defending other point guards he'd have a harder time with bigger and longer wings, and Elliott and Turkoglu are not great defenders. The team's collective length and Capela's ability to defend the paint would hopefully make up for that deficiency.
I struggled choosing between Deng for his defense and Turkoglu for his offense at the 3.

You'd think a Bran fan would know better than to have him play with two bigs clogging up the paint :kobe:
If you want a perfect Lebron roster out of the list, I'd go with
Jameer
Jason Terry
Lebron
Hedo
Al Harrington
Spacing, spacing, spacing.

i'm also taking steph curry at this point. Just need some defense around him since he's so good at shooting.
I go capela(pretty easy decision at center imo), tobias(good modern 4 can be a 2nd option on a good team and lead the offense when curry sits), luol deng(need some wing defense can shoot fine), starks(like his defense and can score decently for a 3rd option. Went with gordon initially but he's a way better passer). I do wish I had a bit more playmaking here

These aren't your usual non stars though. Any superstar would have an easy time with 4 of these guys around.

Welcome to today's NBA.

Says the guy who picks a Lebron team with two bigs who can't shoot 3s :facepalm . I thought Lebron was the greatest defender ever and could guard 1-5? I guess you also didn't follow those Cavs series when they played Love at the 5 either.

LeBron won a ring with the worst spacing in the league last year lol. Spacing helps him but he doesn’t need it to win.

BTW, I do remember Mashburn kicking Orlando's ass... and I quoted you yesterday as such... but it was really Jamaal Magloire who I was thinking of and whose name I can hear the Orlando announcer repeatedly announcing in the most hauntingly monotone way possible. I can hear that shit in my dreams.
"PJ Brown.
45 seconds later...
Jamaal Magloire.

AD played on the perimeter when they didn't use him a the 5 though, not sure you're getting the same kind of success with Adams and Grant, which is what the Cavs basically had in '09 and '10. Not sure he had the "worst" spacing in the league, Rondo and Kieff went off. AD and KCP shot over 37% from 3 as well. When they played Kieff at the 4 and AD at the 5, the offense was on another level. The On/Off numbers support that as well.

Durant played great in 14 without a 2nd star and the Milwaukee series showed that he's still capable of that. My team also has guys that can score themselves with ease.

Meltdown.
How is what ImKobe saying a meltdown? It's correct. You can't put two big men down there sitting there in the paint with a slasher like LeBron, who also don't provide outside opportunities for him to dish and get assists.
This has literally been the rubric for LeBron's style of play for just about his entire career.

Horace Grantthis looks pretty much as good as it gets. At first glance I thought you needed a playmaker but this team moves so well off the ball it probably works regardless, and switching in Andre Miller will sacrifice too much shooting.

Players like him would just demoralize you in the pick and roll. It's a similar feeling to when a shooter today can't miss from deep.

Jason Terry (Johnny Dawkins)
Eric Gordon (Hersey Hawkins)
Charles Barkley
Troy Murphy (Mike Gminski)
Steven Adams (Rick Mahorn)
Recreating that early 90's team that could have been had it not been for the Dawkins injury and the Gminski trade.
