A United States team lead by NBA superstars Allen Iverson, Tim Duncan, Lebron James, Dwayne Wade, and Carmelo Anthony were the favorites to easily breeze their way through the 2004 Olympics. The team’s numerous pre-Olympic games all pointed in that direction. The United States has always dominated the world of international basketball, and 2004 was expected to be no different.

This is why Duncan can never be top 3. He was the team Captain and let the team down completely.

LeBron was trying to learn from Duncan and learned nothing that year.

LeBron and Wade and Melo barely played this is akin to blaming Scalabrine for the Celtics losing.

Lebron played as much as Hakeem played in the 1996 Olympics.

I'll bite, once again.

Can you explain to me why LeBron seemingly fronts that team when he played 13 minutes in this game? He shot 3 times, and they were all 3pt attempts.

Minutes breakdown:

Duncan: 36mins, 15pts, 16rbs, 11 FGA.
Iverson: 31mins, 15pts, 3asts, 14 FGA.
Jefferson: 26mins, 8pts, 5rbs, 16 FGA.
Marbury: 25mins, 2pts, 1ast, 5 FGA.
Wade: 21mins, 10pts, 3rbs, 9 FGA.
Marion: 16mins, 4pts, 6rbs, 8 FGA.
Odom: 16mins, 13pts, 5rbs, 7 FGA.
LeBron: 13mins, 5pts, 1rb, 3 FGA.
Boozer: 11mins, 1pt, 4rbs, 1 FGA.
Anthony: 3mins, 0pts, 1rb, 2 FGA.
Stoudemire: 2mins, 0, 0, 0 FGA.

So, 2004... So that's after LeBron's, Wade's, and Anthony's rookie season? Can you explain to me why those players are such a focal point to your argument? You can clearly see the team is not built around them.

I think the real question for OP is: Do you ever actually look anything up? Or are you a sheep.

Which mental disability was it again?

Wonder where the moron who started this post went... Must not have liked the narrative. Ah well, will see another thread like this in two weeks about the same shit, from the same person, or from one of his 5 alts.

Lebron played as much as peak Hakeem did in the Olympics back in 1996.

That was a very unbalanced roster, and Larry Brown was bumping head with lot of players of that squad. I think they even needed a midcourt shot from Iverson to defeat Germany before the tournament.

Since when do we have to have an all star cast to beat Puerto Rico? That Roster we had was leaps and bounds better than Puerto Ricos team.

Don't get me wrong, this isn't Lebrons L... this is at fault of coaching and the vets.

None of them even made the all star game.

Neither did Carlos Arroyo. He was a role player in the NBA.
