Cubans have a higher income, higher IQ, higher education level, and higher ownership level than the average Hispanic in the US. Cubans that identify as white have IQs higher than the average American and nearly 20 points higher than Cubans who identify as black. They also have a smaller poverty rate than the average Hispanic in the US.

But looking at some more data, your point to another poster might be valid. Cuban success probably does have something to do with more successful Cubans coming to the US generations ago boosting their advantage.
