Problem is they dont have anyone in the roster good enough to implement Bron Ball

They need to get shooters open, have someone to run the offense and run screen and roll and then pass to shooters to make shots :confusedshrug:

Ball-domination is the answer?... 4/10 ball?

:kobe:

Lebron's record with super-teams is horrible (upset with a favored super-team in high school... upset with dream teams in 04' and 06' international play... upset from 09-11'... only 3/7 with super-teams from 11-17')

The formula that won 10 conference championships, 4 regular championships, and won the most playoff games ever is the key to success this olympics (aka the winningest formula in sports history )

The formula to win conference championships was forming a super-team in a conference that 1-star teams were winning

Everyone knows it was fraudulent and he was immediately exposed out West as a lottery team despite having Ingram, Rondo, Green and Kuzma (a former budding star before lebron-ball)

Lebron's record hurts him, not helps..

Except LeBron won the conference championship without any all-star teammates in 2007, 2015 (Kyrie/Love injured), and 2016

He also won the conference championship without any all-nba teammates in 2007, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017

So you're wrong, LeBron made the Finals with less help than MJ lost in the 1st round in 1985-1987 with.. yikes

They need to play Jimmy Butler ball. Made the finals and had a 42 gmscore game and a 41.30 gmscore game after that. Didnt even need kyrie irving, just 16 ppg bum adebayo & goran dragic, who were both injured in the finals lol

Lots of guys won the conference with sub-par casts in that decade, and Lebron had a 2-time all-star center and a 22/5/5 all-defender acquisition, along with the future COY - that's the same help that Iverson, Kidd, and Dwight had when they won the conference.

So Lebron formed a super-team in a conference that 1-star teams were winning - it's the definition of stacking the deck.

And Kyrie played in the 15' ECF, although he wasn't needed because 1-star teams routinely win the conference

So then explain how LeBron won the championship without any all-star teammates in 2016, while Jordan lost in the 1st round under similar circumstances (1985-1987)? :confusedshrug:

Jimmy G Buckets won the conference too. He took the lakers to 6 with 4 games of bummy adebayo, who played like 2015 timofey mozgov. Damn, what a GOAT Jimmy Butler is:eek:

Kyrie Irving is a first-ballot HOF'er

Stop pretending he doesn't exist or is a bum

Ditto Love

Btw, the role players - Mosgov, Shumpert, Tristan, JR Smith, Korver - these guys are far better than the bum role players that MJ had

They do need someone who can consistently penetrate against physical defense.

Luka is playing Bron ball for Slovenjia. Let's see if he can even get a Bronze.

I watched all their qualifiers. He is destroying folks. The game against Lithuania in the final was amazing. He was getting into the paint at will and finishing and-1s through contact.

Teams can't double because Slovenia plays 4 other guys who just hustle up and down and shoot 3's. If Luka is forced to pass out of a double they catch the ball and either shoot or swing immediately a lot of the time. Very crisp.

Yes, I saw it too. Impressive. Let's see how far he gets with them.

Neither Lebron or Kobe were particularly great in FIBA. They were great but not relative to their NBA levels.

Lebron's game requires a ton of spacing or open court in FIBA. Lebron's a monster help defender in FIBA but in half court and tight spaces he's not the megastar that he is over here.

Kobe for some reason just couldn't hit his shots in limited touches. I think it was probably just a small sample size but it might be that he's just not good in a limited role without getting his rhythm. Defensively he would overplay but I think all of team USA were taking the risk of overplays because a live ball steal was so valuable to their offense.

A guy like Carmelo was better in FIBA relative to his NBA level. And he played so much that it can't just be down to sample size. Perhaps because he was able to get buckets without being as reliant on rhythm. Or maybe because unlike Kobe and Lebron he had a more simple and more natural responsibility: Just score.

They are playing bron-ball - here's Chris Broussard talking about how Team USA is employing the predictable high-screen roll and it's getting stomped by the ball movement and superior brand of our international opponents:
