View Full Version : What's with the addressing of pronouns?

I'm seeing a lot of her/she on statuses. Are we really at a point we need to announce our genders when it's that obvious?

Society just gets mentally weaker and weaker every generation

The upper class exploits, and sometimes outright conditions the younger/lower class to have different cultural values than the middle class, to thwart cooperation against upper class interests.

The upper class generally pretends to share the values of the lower class, in order to keep the focus on cultural alliance, rather than the massive wealth imbalance.

It’s a hard cycle to break because the people in the lower class (not exclusively but ON AVERAGE) are the least sentient, and therefore least aware of being duped.

The poorer class used to be dominated by the religious right, while the middle class was more secular, which led to a lot of religious virtue signaling by government. This has begun flipping, and therefore the government is playing up left wing wokeness.

The common theme is the people at the top being 10000x wealthier, while the people at the bottom allow their priorities to be easily manipulated without any resistance.

Looking at this like the glass is half full, people who introduce themselves and their preferred pronouns are basically telling me... i am a ticking timebomb. It helps me out since I know who to avoid from the jump.

I try to refer to anyone who uses pronouns as a "they/them/it" just to be safe. If they stress to me they prefer he or she, I insist I want to take an extra measure of caution out of respect, in case their situation changes in the future.

What's that got to so with pronouns?

That's a good way to look at it. If they have a need to announce it you know there's a hint of sled entitlement that is attached to it

The government and media are spearheading the charge on pronouns, and the plebs beneath are following suit. It’s becoming self reinforcing.

Peer pressure is a big thing

Proof social media has mind control

I asked why she did that and she said it was to support the LGQTB community and by not doing it you're all the phobics combined.

To me she/her is a symbol of divisiveness

I give girls a little leeway on the weird color hair dying, even tho it does correlate heavily with woke cringe stuff. But it’s pretty harmless youthful rebellion.

Pronouns are definitely indoctrinated virtue signals. Young people who havent yet achieved any kind of social/financial status are always trying to find ways to distinguish themselves, often by playing imaginary rescuer. Malcolm X spoke often of the disingenuous white liberal rescuer of the black man. Ive seen Indians on reservations wearing Redskins hats, yet woke internet dweebs championed the banishment of the name. Pronouns are the latest battleground for society’s least relevant classes to champion some faux-noble cause, and feel distinguished. Even when it’s far from unanimously endorsed by “LGBT.” But young people and women tend to eat this shit up.

She's 30. She's literally the poster child of woke culture. BLM, #metoo, defund the police...the whole 9.

And well said. The virtue signalling is so obvious it boggles my mind that people who use it don't see it and will defend their values over their own friends and family.

Bunch of intolerant bigots on here. People have the right to go by ANY pronoun that they choose. Why can't you guys be more understanding and inclusive like the interviewer in the video

I remember the days where it was cool to make fun of gay people and if you found your little brother wearing drag, you were allowed to beat him senseless and get him the mental help he needed.

It used to be but not any more. Myself and a group of friends did something horrible to a couple of gay guys once(can't remember if it was in HS or right after). That forever changed my stance on how I view gays and trannys. I'm much more empathetic to their lifestyle since then because of the guilt. The main antagonist in our group hated blacks and gays. I later found out he moved to Seattle, became a hair dresser and came out as bisexual, no kidding. :lol Guy was a mean motor scooter though. I seen him take an ice pick through the hand by this big black guy but knocked him out cold immediately afterwards. He was an accomplished martial artist too.

I wouldn't go that far. But yeah, I definitely baagged on male kids who dressed like girls.

I support pronouns if in fact you prefer to be addressed outside the norm. I don't agree with the do-gooders who use obvious pronouns in support.

The world gets more repulsive as the years go by. The fact that we aren't immortal is a blessing.

Imagine going from fighting WW1 at the age of 16.. to a world where people decide to not be a him/her.. but a they.
