And if no-one had injuries the Clippers woulda got flogged by the Nets, cut it out, dreamer.

and all the cheap shots from Durant\Zaza\Ingles were coincidentally when Kawhi was winning the game by 20+ points.
Luckily this is only a partial tear, he should be back by about allstar break.

Typically surgery to repair a partially torn ACL is a full reconstruction, the same surgery as for a complete rupture (grade 3 tear). Looking at around 9 months to get back to the court and even longer to return to preinjury levels

well in 2003 he had a torn shoulder and knee in the playoffs that required surgery. he then went to colorado for it and got accused of rape which derailed the entire 2004 season and he and shaq feuded due to kobes police interrogation where he said shaq paid women. then kobe didn't fully get back to 100% till probly 2006
in 2008 he broke his hand ( first of 3 major hand issues for all 3 finals ) and went through the 2008 finals without bynum or ariza due to injuries
kobe was supposed to have surgery but declined and played the finals hurt
Kobe Bryant will forgo surgery on his right pinkie finger

Despite injuries to Andrew Bynum and a late returning Trevor Ariza, the Lakers fared well throughout the playoffs

Average return to sport is 8 months, which should be mid Mar for Kawhi. As long as he's back before the playoffs, a deep playoff run is doable. They would need an easy first round opponent, though.

Make sure you add another 2 years to that timeline to get Uncle Dennis fully on board.

I've heard its only 3-6 months for a partial tear. Dinwiddie on the nets had the same surgery in December and they said he could of returned if they made the finals.
Kawhi might be extra cautious though and wait until playoffs begin

Based on Kawhi's injury history, 6 months would be optimistic, 9 months reasonable, 12 months practical

All 30 teams would still let kawhi bang their own mother if it meant signing with them. Durant had a worse injury in 2019

Brooklyn Nets guard Spencer Dinwiddie has been cleared for a full return to basketball activities, his surgeon, Riley Williams, told The Athletic's Shams Charania. "He looks and feels and moves like the pre-injury Spencer Dinwiddie," Williams said.Jun 22, 2021
He had the same exact injury "partial acl tear" in December 2020, back to normal in 6-7 months.

I would be shocked if they lose him this offseason now that he's having surgery. He might opt in and sign for a big deal next offseason.

With how injury prone Kawhi is, who knows with this guy. If, and a BIG if, he's healthy next year the Clippers SHOULD make another title run.

If not for an extremely lucky bounce and Durant/Klay injuries this dude is stuck on one role player FMVP. Claiming he beats the Warriors in 2017 is retarded even by your standards, and there's absolutely no excuse for last year. They had a 3-1 lead and double digit leads in each clinching game, the bubble doesn't excuse their total collapse and Kawhi completely shitting the bed in Game 7

Paying top dollar for a guy whose going to be an almost guarantee to miss 20+gms each year even when healthy??

Never understood when people say SA would've beaten GS just because SA had a big lead in gm 1 when Kawhi went down.

The Clippers this offseason should likely move some older guys like Beverly, Ibaka and let Batum do whatever he wants for some younger legs. No point in being an old team with hurt guys when the year might be a throwaway. They can’t tank due to OKC owning their picks but young guys should get priority development and let George do work

It's cute that there's idiots out there that think the 17 Spurs had a chance in hell vs the Warriors.

Who would take their contract? They have zero draft assets to add to any trades at this point.

Kawhi used their franchises to get two Finals MVPs. Neither of those teams had a sniff of the championship since Kawhi left.

It's cute that there's idiots out there that think the 17 Spurs had a chance in hell vs the Warriors.
The '17 spurs were winning game one in that year's wcf with a huge 20-plus point lead until zaza's dirty play on kawhi that screwed him out of the entire series. So the warriors wouldn't have gone 4-0 if that didn't happen at all, showing that they aren't all that invincible. Well at least that became a catalyst for a revenge, when he became disappointed with how the spurs treated his injury back then until he wanted out in the succeeding season because of his disappointment and eventually got sent to the north for derozan. Then he led that team to the finals two years ago and crushed the dubs' hopes for a three-peat lol. Now obviously your team was hampered that time but before you say anything else, you must realize all their rings in the last six years have them facing teams with injuries to various players as well along the way. Kyrie and love in 2015, kawhi in 2017, then cp3 and lebron in 2018.

He really waited this long to get surgery?
I'm going to guess that he's rather mistrustful of doctors after 2017-18. He would want to see three or four different specialists and hear their opinions on his treatment options before he made his decision.

He had the same exact injury "partial acl tear" in December 2020, back to normal in 6-7 months.
Just because they're both called the same thing does not mean that they're the same exact injury. An ACL tear can mean anything from a slight, almost unnoticeable tear to a ligament that is almost completely torn in two. Obviously recovery times for those two extremes will be very different.
