All big names for kobe and jordan.
For lebron? Lol. A man that athletic and huge should never be outplayed by the likes of terry, arroyo, rondo, barea, parker, alston, etc.

kenny you've been bending over backwards for years trying to find new ways to boost your guy ever since the stats proved that the guy who cant shoot aka lebron is more clutch than kobe
just count the finals MVPs.

2001 was the only playoffs he was relatively injury free and he carried shaq the entire way through all the best teams (portland/sanantonio/sacramento) so shaq could hijack finals mvp vs the sixers
in the end kobe made up for his shooting by shutting down everyone he ever defended in the finals. and back then the refs let them play for the most part. no ticky tack fouls. not like todays league
kobe basically has 4 willis reed championships

Excuse upon excuse in this meltdown.
Lebron passed Kobe in 2012, since then he's become a top-3 player ever. 12th is nothing to be ashamed of; although occasionally shooting above 40% in the Finals and/or doing anything clutch in those series would've helped.

wait. are you saying kobes injuries aren't valid
well thats interesting. because lebron fans blamed him not making the playoffs in 2019 on a groin injury and him losing in the first round this year due to an ankle injury
interesting how you losers flip flop all the time... but i guess you just take after your idol

No, it's because of his injury. You love citing his ppg but in reality he was a 20 ppg scorer in the Finals in games he actually played more than 8 minutes in.

ok even though kobe saved shaq in the wcf and game 4 of the nba finals you can have 2000 if you never count 2012, 2013, 2016 or 2020

So he was healthy enough for you to give him full credit for game 4 win, but injury brought up when shooting 12-47 next 2gms?
so you're gonna knock a guy for only being able to step up in the biggest moment with a horrific injury and not be able to continue that for the next 2 games?
its like when isiah thomas played on a badly injured ankle and wore it out in game 6 of the 88 finals only to have a ref bail the lakers out with a phantom call to push it to 7... then people wondered why he couldn't do another miraculous all time great performance on a leg he had to ice for an entire day and swelled up to the point where he could barely walk
no sh*t kobe couldn't replicate what he did in game 4.. have you ever played injured. you can push it hard once... but you need a good amount of time in between to heal

So he was healthy enough for you to give him full credit for game 4 win, but injury brought up when shooting 12-47 next 2gms?
He sat out a game after he sprained his ankle and gave his all and had one of the all-time great moments but you can't expect him to be consistent every game like nothing happened. It's like when Zeke had his incredible Game 6 against the Lakers on an injured ankle and was essentially a non-factor in Game 7.

This thread would have been funny in 2010 or 2011, but the problem is mostly everyone on this board has already put LeBron ahead of Kobe years ago, no knowledge fans or valid media outlets have Kobe ahead of LeBron, the debate was settled years ago. I remember the years on ISH when the LeBron/Kobe debates were heated and often, now we are at MJ vs LeBron, I think it's time for OP to accept the fact that Kobe is a borderline top 10 player at best and just move on, we are in 2021, not 2011.

Taking 27fga in a game while injured is smart and encouraged by Phil?
There's a reason why he said Kobe was un-coachable

Kobe still has more rings 10 years and 8 Lebron Finals later. Crazy how that works out, eh?

2000 WCF Game 7 was the equivalent of a Game 7 of the NBA Finals and he led his team in points, rebounds, assists & blocks & got them the lead and iced the game. Poor "MDE" had 18/9 against a geriatric Sabonis :kobe: :kobe: .

Steph didn't win the FMVP in 2015, are you going to tell me was not the best player on his team for that title run like Kobe was in 2001? Are you telling me AD wasn't the MVP of the Lakers all season and through the first 3 rounds last year?

He can thank Shaq for that.

Steph was obv the Warriors best player, but unlike a lot of posters here I have absolutely no issue with Iggy winning FMVP. I remember strongly believe he was the FMVP watching the series back in 2015. Curry being "robbed" is honestly revisionist history, he was actually getting pretty criticized for his performance
If you include the Finals Shaq was the Lakers best player, though I admit he and Kobe were essentially even through the Western playoffs. What's crazy is if you discount the game they lost, Kobe would've led the Lakers in scoring throughout the '01 playoffs
AD was the Lakers best player during the regular season, the playoffs like Shaq & Kobe in '01 they were essentially dead even. I'd say LeBron was slightly better, but wouldn't disagree if someone went with AD
Regardless of MVP's, LeBron was the clear cut best player on 3 title teams, I'm assuming he'd get the majority vote for '20, while Kobe only was for 2, and Shaq would get the majority vote for '01

but they're not worth anything. you joke about kobes 2000 finals but at least it was a real finals and not a lockout shortened season or a bubble or some bs where a guy calls the commissioner and gets the other teams mvp of the series suspended
like man.. at least shut the f*ck up about fake accomplishments and only bring up the one slightly tainted by a ray allen bail out and a big 4 collusion... at least that was just poor sportsmanship, a free ride and a bit of luck
at absolute MOST lebron has 1 title. you can have kobes 2000 title. i don't give a f*ck. but just stop saying lebron has 4 finals mvps because nobody counts most of them
nobody counts the 1919 reds world series
nobody counts barry bonds home run records
you should enjoy that 1 title lebron may have under his belt before the league exposes his steroid scandal and his entire career is just as meaningless as bonds was

That's crazy. Iggy was the 3rd best player on the Warriors in that series and the best player in 1 out of 6 games (the biggest game of the series down 1 - 2, but still just ONE game). We're giving him more credit for "stopping" Lebron than we should when Lebron was inefficient in the East Playoffs as well.
At least you're admitting that Kobe was basically the best player in the West Playoffs which he was statistically (the real Finals) so you're good on that. Yeah, Shaq averaged 1 more point a game and his TS% was only slightly higher than Kobe's overall (Kobe had higher WS, VORP and RAPM and was their playmaker and the best 4th quarter player in the Playoffs), both were FMVP-caliber players like Steph & KD when they played together so both should be credited for a FMVP title on a team that was very top-heavy with a 7-man rotation.
Kobe was the best overall player for 3 title runs, same as Lebron. The 2020 Finals I give less credit to Lebron because the Heat lost 2 of their best 3 players to injuries and Jimmy Butler outplayed him for most of the series and they don't stop Butler until Vogel started putting AD on him. Davis was the most impactful player when you look at his defensive impact in the Playoffs, Lebron was still a superstar but that to me is on par with Kobe's 2002 ring.
At least you're sensible as a pro-Lebron guy so I can respect you for that.

Just like nobody counts Kobe's sidekick rings, so in a sense Kobe has 2 rings and very underwhelming 2 rings I might add, having Fisher bail him out in game 4 vs Orlando and shooting all-time bad vs Boston in game 7.

Switching teams and joining multiple stars each time. He needed Kobe to win gold otherwise Lebron only has Lebronze medals.

everyone counts 2001 and 2002 because kobe carried shaq vs the spurs both years and had the best stats for the entire playoffs in 2001. he was a legit 1A or 1B both years. shaq didn't have that disparity he had in 2000. he claimed finals mvp vs some weak finals opponents AGAIN... it was in no way shape or form all shaq. they were true 50/50 titles and even you know it
stick to trashing his 2000 ring as a 21 year old. thats all you're really good at. especially when you disregard kobes 2 point injury game to make it seem like he didn't really average almost 20
