That was they year Ray Allen took the Bucks to the Eastern Conference Finals. Who would you rather have and who do you think is better? This was Booker's age 24 season and Ray Allen's age 25 season.

I like booker but Ray was considerably better skill wise and he was a better athlete also. Prime ray allen in this easier era tailored to his game would be a huge problem.

I think they're pretty similar, but I'd agree that 01' Ray Allen is ahead of Booker despite Devin putting up gaudier regular season numbers. I think that if Booker maxes out he can be prime Ray Allen good, they're athleticism is similar, although Booker may never be quite as good of a shooter as Allen. Booker will never be Kobe or even Kobe lite because he isn't in the same realm of athleticism as a prime Kobe Bryant.

Ray Allen. Booker reminded me of a modern version of Allan Houston.

I'm easily taking Ray. He averaged comparable numbers on much better efficiency in a significantly more difficult era to score, outplayed Iverson in the ECF and if not for some controversial officiating very likely makes the Finals. Ray in this era would be putting up some insane numbers

More difficult to score in terms of the rules, but in terms of league wide competitive level... I think youd have to argue the talent level is higher in the year 18 ALG (After LeGirth) than in the year 3 BLG (Before LeGirth).

That said, I still take Ray Ray.

Ray Allen was miles ahead of Book, even if we compare stats across those 20 years. Give '01 Ray today's spacing & weak ass defenses.. He shot 47.9% from 3 on 6.6 3PA in the Playoffs in THAT era.. it took rigging from David Stern to keep him out of the Finals.. He averaged 27 a game with 50.9% from 3 in the ECF with 28 made threes in that 7-game series which IIRC was a record for most 3s in a series at the time.

Ray Allen was better in just about every way.

Ray Allen also fits any team like a glove. Booker needs a certain roster tailored to his needs. For example, he should have fouled out when he wrapped Holiday up while passing back to Giannis. Blatant foul but refs didnt call it. Meanwhile Crowder flopped multiple times to draw fouls that were definitely not fouls. The reason Booker had that many fouls is because his defense stinks.

He also had a considerable amount of offensive help compared to iverson. He doesnt get that 2001 sixers team to the finals. The more mutumbo played the more chucking iverson had to do

Proof that today’s stats are inflated.

Ray's 01 team was ahead of the curve as far as spacing went (but in that era defense >> so they weren't built for the kind of deep PS runs they'd be capable of today) but the spacing he experienced was still not comparable to modern spacing, he'd be a lot better in today's league

So definitely Ray, as someone mentioned Booker probably a lot closer to Allan Houston back then who I'd argue was a little better than Booker
