He outplayed Mike here while completing the sweep. Outplayed him throughout the series in fact. Afterwards, Bird averaged 30/10/7 vs Milwaukee. 27/10/8 vs Detroit. And 24/10/6 vs the Lakers. In every one of those series, he also shot efficiently.

Bird was still better than Kevin Mchale and Cornbread Maxwell (had more PPG than second year Bird). They barely outscored him anyway.
