View Full Version : Khris Middleton or Devin Booker - Who y'all got right now?

All Booker does is score the ball. He does not have the vision nor the passing ability to create for others. And he is getting exposed out there defensively.
Call it being a prisoner of the moment, if you want. But the eye test in these finals is giving me all the results that I needed to see. Middleton is a more complete player.
Booker is more beloved so I am expecting a biased opinion here. PLEASE be objective.

Offensively there's not much difference. Middleton is better in the other half of the game so Middleton gets the edge even though personally i like booker better.

It is not possible to watch a league with 450 players and only like one player's game. It makes absolutely no sense unless you are not a fan of the game. Stop crying like I fuked your girlfriend, b-tch ass niqqa.
I created a thread saying Bron/KLAW/AD/PG/BEN FAM thread. You can see below the other two guys I have been "PRAISING". It's a basketball forum, you moron. Stay mad it ain't my problem.
I was never a Kobe, Booker, Middleton, Giannis, Middleton, Luka, Beal and heck no Chris Paul are you crazy? Cliff Paul the biggest choker alive? You keep swinging and you keep on missing.
List of players I have been praising this year and last year.
Trae Young = ICE TRAE thread that I created on his behalf.
Dame Lillard = many threads have been created to praise his play.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with that.
Everybody knows that keep playing stupid.

In this Series? Middleton.
Booker is a lot closer to Klay's talent, than he ever was to Kobe or Steph, which is still comfortably above Middleton.

Klay can defend. It doesn't mean because Booker was handed the keys of a franchise and Middleton is the Robin to Giannis's batman, that Booker is the better player.
Booker couldn't make the playoffs stat padding and not winning games as the first option. Until Chris Paul got there to be the man. People were chanting Chris Paul MVP before Booker.
So no, I disagree. I think Middleton is the better overall player. I don't know if it was this game or the game before but Booker scored 42 and had 2 assists and 1 rebound. Like all you do is score the ball? You don't bring anything else to the table?

Booker can defend. He isn't a turnstile. He's got size and moves well laterally. He's not a polished defender yet, but to imply he can't defend? I really wonder how much Suns basketball you've watched the last 2 seasons before this Finals.

He is "trying" on defense. I think that's what you are trying to say. Watching these finals he is been in foul trouble most of the time.

on team usa Middleton
Building a team Booker
on the 76ers with ben simmons middleton
without ben simmons booker
so a super stacked team....middleton
a sorrier team....booker
its pretty fking close. toughest one of these i seen in a long time. Based on what team u name it would be a different person
Nets Middleton
Nuggets Booker
Hawks Booker
Kings Booker
Portland Middleton
ect ect

Defense puts Middleton over the top. I think Book is a better ballhandler/passer, but with CP3 he doesn't get as much of an opportunity to playmake (which is not bad).

Tough call, Middleton is so inconsistent but comes through when it matters and is the better defender
Booker hasn't hit his ceiling yet
Right now I would take Middleton though

It's only "dead" in the regular season against lazy ass defense. You can't win a ring without at least one player who is an elite midrange shot creator.
LeBron didn't get over the top until he could consistently create and knock down midrange/high post shots (2012).

mid range is irrelevant. Kang won 2012 abusing skeletor in the paint. Kang was never a mid range moron like baldo or chuckbe
he did it for fun in game 7 of 2013 and after that he ditched the strategy for a more efficient method of scoring

Yes and no. When Book finally understands how to play defense, I believe he has the potential to be a very good defender. I can't really argue with you right now that his defense is at the stage of trying. That's a fair assessment.

any player that defenders better , and may have a little less offense I will always take that player , because he is a complete player.
Not just a player that jacks them up.

Right now, if there was a draft between the two players for your number 1 guy, I don't think anyone would pick Khris. Khris is a good number 2 guy, not a number 1 guy. However, Booker for a number 1 does not really make him a strong number one.
So who do you have?
Booker by a very slim margin.

Booker reminds me a bit of young Kobe that he has flashes of brilliance and offensive ingenuity, but also makes bad decisions and has his forceful chucking moments. Middleton is more inconsistent, some days shoots like kuzma out there, other days he looks like prime MJ. But he has the benefit of being second option so not as scrutinized as booker. I take booker.

I like Middleton a LOT more but he's had struggles in past playoffs. Not gonna criticize Book for 'underperforming' in his finals debut.
