Chris Paul doesn’t deserve to win the chip

He was playing really well before this series. But he has not played well during these Finals. More importantly, the effort doesn’t look there. It’s okay to go down but go down swinging. He has turned the ball over uncharacteristically and the team has went iso too much.

I’m not saying he has all the physical tools in the world but he’s more capable than this average play. There are times when he turns it on and it’s too late. He’s too passive overall. In order to win the championship you have to play above and beyond. At least your effort and heart has to be there.

I always wondered why Paul was never considered a very top guard or star and now I know why. He’s not showing up big enough.

Never considered a top guard or star? He's a first ballot hall of famer and has been considered the best or 2nd best point in the league pretty much his entire career.

He's not perfect, no doubt, but nobody is...he's going to go down as one of the 30 or so best players ever...that is amazing for anyone...especially a 5-11 guard.

I just think its silly how kawhi gets down talked in 2014, while Chris Paul gets propped up.

Even though kawhi wasn't playing with anybody as good offensively as the book man. Even though kawhi production was better. Even though kawhi had 10x better defense.

Imagine thinking a guy who is winning in life is a career loser :oldlol: if you ask most people, they do think he is in the next tier of guys they would like to see win a ring because they have worked their asses off to be where they are. Him, Harden, Westbrook... they have paid their dues. Would be OK with them all winning a ring 1 day even though it's painfully obvious Westbrook never will.
