sure one guy can't carry a team in baseball but i guarantee its harder to put up great numbers when you have pressure to win
when your homeruns don't matter you're basically doing batting practice. the blue jays are in the hunt for a playoff spot with a +95 run differential which is 5th in all of baseball. they're expected to at least get the wild card and will most likely catch oakland and seattle and pass them within the next week or so
thats another thing i think that sets babe ruth apart from ohtani. when was babe ruth ever not chasing a world series crown when he was doing damage
maybe thats also why trout is so consistent. best batting practice players in all of baseball
