I knew road teams had a horrible record in Game 7 of the Finals, but I never realized how terribly they fared with their season on the line in Game 6. Since the merger, road teams are an astounding 1-10 when facing elimination in Game 6, with the '05 Pistons being the only team to pull off the feat.

The Bucks better take care of business, road teams don't fare that much better in Game 7, going 2-6 over the same timeframe.

I'm going to take the grim odds position and predict that the Suns win game six.

Suns are a decent bet. Bucks are too unpredictable and have a pattern of being their own worst enemy. Game 7 will be a Suns win if it gets there.

Bucks have played differently this series though, i know they choked huge leads in previous rounds, but this series they have been playing with more urgency. Even if they start slow, they have been finishing really strong which is all that matters. Their intensity hasn't been matched by the Suns these past 3 games.

If their defense continues , and Ayton is limited in boards and easy buckets , I will be happy....
(all or nothing as the saying goes)

When did they change to the 2-2-1-1-1 format?

People thought 3 straight games on the road was too big a disadvantage for a team that earned home court. The idea of losing one at home then maybe not having another home game after a great season was complained about.

And I’d say the Suns have a solid chance. I can’t see the bucks playing like they can afford to lose game 6 though. They don’t feel like that kinda team to me with Giannis, Portis, and all those high energy types.

Bucks have lost 1 game at home this playoffs, and that was to a hot Trae in game 1. I wouldn't bet on the Bucks choking, I can see them down 8 to start the 4th and use the crowd's energy to take over in the 4th. They have their own version of the death lineup, which is basically taking Lopez off the floor. They have become better at closing, believe it not coach Bud has been making adjustments.

I don't believe the Bucks want anything to do with a GM 7 in PHX, they'll come out of the gate with urgency. Wouldn't mind seeing a GM 7 since I really don't care who wins though I did pick the Bucks to win it all, so I think the Bucks win tonight.

2 losses on the road and then take the next 4 with a huge celebration at home

just like Bill Walton in 1977, a sweet championship series

Also not to mention bucks are great at home, 6-0 in closeout games over buds tenure and bud himself is 8-0 in closeout games. then you add in the fact scott foster is reffing the game, a ref which cp3 is 1-12 in the last 13 games since 2001 and the suns are 0-12 against him aswell. They're facing an insane uphill battle, not like they couldn't climb it, but bucks need to be on their A-game, no more jeff teague. Close this out

Chris Paul’s teams are 1-12 in the last 13 playoff games officiated by Scott Foster.

(CP didn’t play in that one win) https://t.co/1gpk4cSPll

i think it was a disadvantage for the road team.

winning 3 straight home games is a tough feat. you almost always lose 1, and need a breather inbetween.

much prefer this format.
