As a big time KG fan and he is my fave player all time. I can say Giannis surpassed KG tonight. Won with the team that drafted him in a small town team. Scored 50 to close out the opposition. X2 MVP and DPOY along with his all nba and all star appearances. And he's only 26. Wow! Giannis has the potential to crack the top 10 GOAT list. He's already in the top 20 with this win

Giannis can carry a much greater scoring load, something KG could never quite do, even at his peak. Everything else is pretty much even IMO but Giannis can give you 50 in a Finals close-out game and go 30+ on a consistent basis.

50 in a game 7 while being the best offensive player is quite the feat.

Historically the first option on offense has to play the second fiddle because of what's wrong at them, but last night was not the case.

I'm sure part of it has to do with Monty and his lack of adjustments throughout the series. If I was in Monty's shoes I would of double and triple teamed Giannis and if I lose because Khris went off of Jrue i can live with that. But Giannis getting 50 in a game 7 is unacceptable IMO as the defending coach.

To be fair Garnett had an awful GM. McHale was sanctioned by the league because of an under the table deal with Joe Smith who was nothing special. They lost a lot of draft picks over that.
