View Full Version : Chris Paul really is a choker

I really don't know why he chokes like that every series, but this is no coincidence.

He always turns passive and looking to pass over looking to score after a couple of games.

Reminds me of Lebron 2011 style, walking up the court, standing in the corner.

Weird.

He played with much more aggressiveness and tenacity to end the previous series and the start of this series. I knew Jrue got in his ass. But he has that LeBron tendency to get shook and all of a sudden he’s playing hot potato or in last nights case oddly losing handle on basic ball control dribbling etc the moment got too big for him? He doesn’t play well when there’s expectations.

He really really isn’t. We were just destined to hear bullshit about whoever lost this matchup because both Giannis and Chris Paul haters will find a way to make any failure their fault personally.

He really is. Only guy that has lost 4 series after going up 2-0 in NBA history. His career will be defined as such.

You can’t tell me that he wasn’t getting whatever shot he wanted while Booker and Ayton were struggling to create offense...and then he just stopped looking for it with about 4 minutes left.

Diagnosis: RRR3 has no friends and that's why he talks to himself.

Do this for me….

Name the people who lost 3 when going up 2-0. When you realize you can’t(unless it was on some graphic last night) rethink what defines careers. Nobody even keeps up with such trivia.

He’s exactly the same player he’d be if Giannis wasn’t a superhuman and couldn’t come back from that injury. He’s just the same guy without a ring.

People have been on this shit for 15 years. It went from can’t make it out of the second….with me saying once he does they will just move the bar….to him doing it….them moving the bar…then can’t make the finals….bar moved again.

If he’d won he’d have the same haters making the same modified points.

Winning does not get rid of haters. It never has. They just find a way to hate in different words. Every single “Well when he ___” I’ve seen here in 20 years that actually happened the person who said it didn’t really retract their years of bullshit.

This would be no different.

That's a lot of words that inevitably mean f*ck all in regards to what I said. The people who are right behind him are his Clipper buddies, who happened to play with him. 10 years from now, CP3 will be known as a loser. Him winning him one (despite being the 3rd best player of his team this PS) would have cleaned up part of his image since it directly correlates with some of his biggest negatives throughout his career.

Keep up the good fight though.

Choker is too strong given the great moments and playoff games he's had.

But most of the issues with Paul were on display in this playoff run...both good and bad.

Still one of the best ever...short list for best point ever...but doesn't deserve to be ranked as high as his fans want him to be.

Yea, that stat is also misleading as well because of some injuries to Griffin and Paul (although that is a weakness of his)...although I don't think it means absolutely nothing either though.

His game 4 of this series was absolutely terrible and likely was the difference in the title.

I think with Paul...it all comes down to who he is being compared against and what class of player he's being put in. He's not "near flawless" and he didn't accomplish enough, remain healthy enough, or play well enough to warrant the ranking some stat nerds and his fans want him to be.

What you do doesn’t matter to your haters. Lebron has the same haters calling him a loser he had 4 rings ago. Like I said the standard just changes to fit the hate. Like you saying he’s third on his team. They win the ring that’s how you spin it. The results barely matter once someone decides the position they have.

The results just alter the framing of the same conclusions.
