Nothing is stopping them from hiring legit private security, but they want the state to protect them. And as always the state is proving to be inefficient and incompetent at doing the job.

I’m sure there are security services that can protect assets without having to blow heads off. Killing people would probably be bad for business. Screw the government the insurance companies would get in the way.
