LOL did you just make up that number? GS, Brooklyn and Philly all had salaries over $140mil.

The Lakers had a higher number than the Bucks :lol

Highest ever for a winning team.

This was the most expensive Larry O Brien trophy ever paid for.

Warriors in 2018 2nd highest Larry O Brien trophy ever paid for: $135,371,746

The salary cap this year was $112 million. 5 years ago the cap was $94 million.

Comparing this years payroll to past years' makes no sense but i guess i should expect that from a Lebron stan.

Brooklyn is at 170M in salaries for this year. Durant / Harden / Kyrie tried to Bill Gates their way to a championship this season but didn't work.

Golden State paid 171M this year trying to buy a championship and didn't make the playoffs :lol

2020 Lakers won the championship being under the salary tax.

2021 Bucks won being over the cap.

Bought or built?

43 players this season made more than Shaq and Kobe combined in 2000. 5 players next season will make more money than one of Tim Duncan’s entire title teams.

Each year because of cap space the salary is going to get bigger.

What a dumb thread....

That's like bragging about Jordans 91-92 championship team having a team payroll of only 16M... that threepeat must be GOAT right? Compare that payroll to now, everyones the last decade has bought their championship right?

This is some low IQ thread

My point is teams that pay the most for championships normally win them.

The whole notion that the Bucks didn't "buy" their championship is idiotic and 100% marketing.

So the Bucks didn't "buy" their championship being in the top 7 of salaries paid and the highest salary paid ever for a championship?

No... why didnt the other six teams with higher payroll win the championship? If it was as easy as paying more than any other team to win a ring, why dont teams do it? Obviously the knicks are not suffering financially, yet, here they sit with two championships EVER.

Edit: I'm getting the hell out of this thread... having a discussion with someone this dumb is pointless.

I seriously hope that the majority of the posters on this board are in their early 20s or teens. What a shit slinging dogshit board through and through. Kblaze do me a ****ing favor and perma me. I myself am emotionally retarded with no self control. Humanity is retarded and I was born at least a hundred years too early.

The amount of actual brain dead takes in every single thread I read are overwhelming.

The amount of factually incorrect information coming from every side of every argument is just... it's just... inexplicably bad.

A team can have an astronomical payroll and still be organic; they're not mutually exclusive.

In the Bucks' case, over half the salary is doled out to re-signed stars like Giannis and Middleton. The only high-paid player we acquired recently was Jrue, and it's not like he vaulted us into title contention; he simply supplemented what was already a viable chance of winning it all.

The Bucks won it all mostly just by gradually developing and gelling their talent over time and finding an acceptable coach, which is my understanding of organicness.

If you look at past championships and how much was paid vs the salary cap it does make 100% sense.

You have to buy your way to a championship.

Look at the past 10 years of winners.

Bucks Lakers Raptors Cavs Warriors Heat

All paid all the way up and beyond the tax in order to win.

Looks like this thread triggered a lot of people when they find out how much teams "pay" to buy a championship.

6 teams above the Bucks tried to "pay" even more for a championship.

There is no option of not paying as much as you can for a talent and winning a championship.

One of the Bucks big 3 was traded for. Brook Lopez came in free agency. Portis came in free agency.

Only 2 of your main players were drafted.

Organic doesn't mean anything in this sense when majority of your team, majority of every team is built in free agency.

Point is, Bucks opened up the brink trucks and spilled out money for this championship. Like other teams tried to do.
