Bird was long. Not quite Kevin Mchale long but Brandon Ingram long. Bird had at least a 4" standing reach advantage over the Xman and Bird knew it. Supposedly Bird only had a 7'1 wingspan but his standing reach was an impressive 9'1. High set shoulders I guess.
