Title.
Feels like it a little. I'm not sure I can comfortably put guys like KD and Curry above him. Wade's defense was something special when he was in his prime.

I agree that he is underrated. And had it not been for LeBron's choke, history views him WAY differently. Where do you rate Wade all time, and from 05-12, or his prime, where did he stackup with LeBron and Kobe? :confusedshrug:

well thats lebrons fault. had he stayed away from miami and let someone else join i think wades a back to back champion in 2011 and 2012 and a 3 time finals mvp. he probly gets league mvp in 2011 too over rose

Lack of major success outside of 2006 and zero MVPs
Still a top 30 talent all-time.

Wade has 4 titles and 2 FMVP's without Lebron choking, and Wade also won a chip without a super-team as the clear-cut top producer (06'), which few have done (including Lebron)

Why would Lebron not win MVP in 2011? The only reason Rose won is because Lebron and Wade split votes. In the situation you’ve created, that doesn’t happen

Wade's game fell off pretty quickly once he got over 30. He was a different player in his 20s.

He was always underrated I felt.
But his game did fall off at the wrong time. After 2011, his knees got shot up. His game would probably be better nowadays due to the superior spacing.

Wade was top 5 in everything in 2012 - PER, BPM, VORP, WS/48 - he was higher in these categories than any version of Pippen.
Only from 2013-2016 did he fall to prime Pippen stats (20/5/5 and 20 PER) - for example, he killed the 2014 ECF alongside Lebron, and only underperformed in the 14' Finals (not as bad as Pippen's 96' Finals)...
Btw, Pippen is the only sidekick that won with a 2.0 BPM for a playoff run (93'), while also being one of the only sidekicks to ever win with 50% true shooting on a playoff run (he did it 3 times)... 93' Pippen had was lower across the board in the playoffs than 13' Wade (PER, BPM, VORP, WS/48).

Lebron still should've won 2 chips with prime Wade in 2011 and 2012.. But he failed.
Then he nearly lost twice with a super-team in 13' and 14'... Smells like a fraud to me, especially since 14' Wade had higher PER, WS/48 and pace-adjusted scoring in the playoffs than 93' Pippen (so Lebron was getting more production from his sidekick on the back end of the 3-peat attempt than MJ got from Pippen).

He had a 28% usage during the heat's 2012\2013 titles.
By comparison, kyle lowry during the 2019 title had a 18% usage.
He was a very good sidekick and would of won the title in 2011 if Lebron took his head out of his ass.

Wade was pretty injury prone. He couldn't shoot so he had to score taking it to the basket. He took a lot of hits, especially from the floor lol. It took a toll on him.

Prime Wade was on Kobe's level. Didn't age as well though. Kobe averaged 27 at age 34.

He missed 58gms from the 2012-2014. Load managed at times in 2014.
No wonder James opted out. Carrying the team while Wade watched from the bench in street clothes.

my favorite all time player was always under rated... he carried the heat for at least 5 years, and they were in the playoffs because of him.

As a big Wade fan, still hurts that Bron couldn't show up in 2011. Or Wade would have 2 FMVPs and 4 rings and be legit top 20 player.

Depends on what you value, peak wise Wade was on the level with the very best, but his longevity was pretty weak, by age 30 he slowed down, which is pretty rare thing to see from a superstar, also dealt with injury issues for the majority of his career, he wasn't T-Mac in that department, but his longevity is underwhelming to say the least.

Yea this about the time when fools start to forget how sick prime DWade was. He probably doesnt crack my top 20 overall because of longevity issues but his peak was something to behold.
'08-'11 is probably peak DWade, which didnt start off at the 08-09 season but at the 08 Olympics when he was the leading scorer on a stacked Redeem Team, while coming off the bench as 6th man. Yeah Kobe had the clutch 4 pt play and the shush moment and was the leader of the team, but DWade was like Barkley in '92 Barcelona where he just dominated every minute he was out there. Then you have his 08-09 season where peak Wade averaged 30/5/7.5 and actually competed with LBJ/kobe for MVP votes, he was THAT good. The guy hard carried Miami to a playoff seed for 2 years when he had no business doing so, and was the best player in the '11 playoffs for the Heat.

There is not a chance that Wade was on Kobe's level for more than one season and even then his D-Whistle year gets overrated. Kobe is a top ten legend and Wade is a top 40 player in my eyes.
For an amazing shooting guard, he sucks at making threes.

2006 27/6/7
2007 27/5/8 (pre injury 28/8/8)
2009 30/5/8
2010 27/5/7
2011 26/5/6
Right there or better than Kobe in various seasons. He was the number one mvp candidate in 2006-2007 before his shoulder injury. Carrying the Heat sans old Shaq. 28/8/8. Good on defense. In some head to heads outplayed Kobe.

Kobe's fourth best season beats or is on par with Wade's best
2003: 30/7/6
2006: 35/5/5
2007: 32/6/5
2008: 28/6/5

Kobe is better and greater. I agree. Where did I say otherwise? I’m saying Wade in healthy prime seasons was almost or in some cases 2006/2007/2009 as good or better.

True. Dwight Howard was Shaq with a bank shot and true effort DPOY defense. Imagine if 2009 Dwight had prime penny. Given all the close games vs the Lakers they probably wouldve been champions.

Top 15 ever, right behind Durant/Dirk and ahead of guys like Malone,Barkley,Drob
Is about to get passed by Giannis soon and potentially Kawhi and MAYBE Harden

Prime Wade is as close to Jordan as anyone .If Wade was the 06, 08,09,10 2 or 3 more years we might be talking about Lebron and Wade as 2 and 3 ever
Wade to me was better all through his prime than all of Kobe’s prime, Kobe just had more years as a superstar than Wade that’s why he’s higher all time
