Their early years with Martin Gore as the main songwriter wasn't that great until they released Violator in 1990 where they finally got their sound right.

Depends on the genre but if you're into new wave and synthpop music, i find the ones made in the period i mentioned earlier are mostly pleasing to the ears.

Dave Gahan's singing was terrible back then. Clarke's Erasure has a better singer in Andy Bell during that time.

Yep, Radiohead is GOAT tier.

To the OP, Tool > as far as hard rock 90s bands are concerned. My personal faves would be Soundgarden, AIC, Smashing Pumpkins, Rage Against The Machine, System Of A Down, Pantera and Foo Fighters. From the OP list, Megadeth and RHCP are actually 80s bands as they were already pretty popular before the 90s.

RHCP best works are in 90's and 2000's though.

If you want to listen to a band on weed, it's definitely Led Zeppelin. No Quarter....FML.

But I don't smoke weed and every Radiohead song I've ever heard is bland and boring and slow and gay. Sorry.

Of course because you're a retard but i'll help you out.

The Bends is like r.e.m. if you like rem, thats a good starting point

Ok computer is where they start opening up and adding digital textures

Kid a is where they are at full experimental delight.

That's the Radiohead experience in a nutshell. Everything else in their discography evolved from this.

A low iq fascist wouldn't get it.

The 80s were a high watermark for the music industry. One of the great eras. That said the 90s were ok. Techno, rap and grunge rock thrived. And fem rockers w the Liz Fair shit. Cant forget Miley Cyrus' dad :lol

Grunge and singers who sound like they are singing with a ping pong ball stuck in their throat suck. There was some real quality metal and hip-hop though.

Songs from the 80s will generally be appreciated if played and heard these days. Same thing for songs from the 90s although not to the same extent.

Scatman went out with a bang. He had been dealing with cancer at that point that he later succumbed to it when he released the 2nd album. Yet, he worked his ass off and became a worldwide phenomenon til the end.
