He basically had a free pass to the NBA FINALS. Congratulations!!! But again he loses in the second round if KD, Harden, Kyrie play. But to be the "superteam killa" ain't you supposed to beat them fair and square at full strength? :confusedshrug:

So what are we doing here?

He's not dubbed a superteam beater per se. What he did is kill the concept of superteams being the only means to win. Harden not playing shows you how competitive it can be when teams are balanced.

I think this year showed that a lot of players (quality players) were injured for damn near every team in the playoffs.

Going by your own logic, the 2016 Warriors were absolutely a super team.

How did he kill it when he did not beat one single SUPERTEAM on his way to a championship. As a matter of fact every team he faced was not 100% healthy. People forget that the Hawks were handling the Bucks before that Trae Young ankle injury. So what are we doing here? He did not beat any healthy team (a la STEPHEN CURRY) on his way to the FINALS.

They didn't have 3 perennial all-stars or a star scorer at 3rd option... so no... not even close - only Lebron had super-teams from 11-16' and they were so unfair, that KD had to team-up with Curry/Klay to supercede them.. thank god he did so Lebron didn't get to stack the deck to a bunch of rings.

Giannis did not get a free pass to the finals.

The Bucks definitely had a lot of good luck, but they still played well overall. And Giannis crushed the finals against a very solid, albeit young team.

But yeah, there is a good chance they lose to the Nets, Clippers and Lakers if those three teams stayed healthy.
