Hilarious that they're not interested in McCollum. That's sad.

Maxey/McCollum/Curry/Harris/Embiid isn't bad.

It's all about getting rid of Simmons and getting the best player in return. No way in **** are they getting Lillard or anyone of that ilk.

If Thybulle is the player Sixers fans think he is, they should be ok. Worry about further defense through cheap pickups later...Ariza, etc.

The problem is that he's a max guy that half the teams flat out don't want.

If Lillard or Beal want out (or if it this goes on longer into the season then it could be any other disgruntled All-Star) expect the Morey to pounce.

As I have said before, who has a better offer for Dame if he does become available? It depends on the direction Portland would want to go obviously but once a star says they want out then Morey has the upper hand. I have no doubt he is willing to wait if necessary.

The thing is these teams coming in like Morey is desperate to dump Simmons and offer peanuts in return. That is just retarded thinking.

So what if Ben gets booed on opening night and everybody in Philadelphia wants him dead? Not Morey's problem.

I was happy with the 1st deal we were offered. Malcolm Brogdon and whatever else they threw in.I knew this would happen...

I thought maybe a team would be dumb enough to think he could be giannis if he had his own team but teams are smarter than i thought.I wish some of you ben simmon stans who think he would be an elite pf were GMs.

Of course he’s willing to wait. He’s got a young all star who can defend 99% of the league in an era of switching everything where even the DPOY gets roasted in the playoffs yearly because small ball kills him.

Fan opinions will never sync up with coaches or most basketball people really because fans think almost exclusively about scoring and most coaches talk defense first. A former nba executive was on a show listen to talking about how fans have no idea how teams value guys who are as defensively versatile as he is while also producing open 3s for others the way he does.

The basketball people are the ones watching film of all the shit fans barely even acknowledge and their evaluation is totally different. They watch Jrue holiday have multiple 4 of whatever games but absolutely terrorize people on D to help his team win a title….and every coach thinks they could have a great D if they had a Simmons to put in the middle of it.

Its one of the great divides between casuals and professionals. They see an all time defender and all around player who has a mental issue with scoring they may be able to correct. Fans see someone who had 4 points and don’t care how many points he prevented or if he assisted on 38 points and forced 4 turnovers. The 4 points are the story and that’s never gonna change.

But you will never get real basketball people to judge guys that way either. They can’t afford to. It complicates issues with the fans but it is what it is. They can boo all game…they are still paying to be there. Team doesn’t really risk much waiting for an offer they like.

The fans will boo no matter why they lose. Be it Ben, whoever replaces him getting locked up by Jrue next year or giving up 44 to Kyrie, or the injury bug that it often is. Can’t build a team to avoid booing. That’s just part of the game….especially in Philly.
