Had all 3 joined in the summer I am sure there would have been plenty of complaining.
Conversely if Westbrook wasn't aquired until November there would be a lot less complaining about the Lakers

People did complain, but it wasn't as bad because the season was going on and Kyrie was having one of his flake absences. They hardly played together all year.
Now there are no games to take attention away from another big 3 being put together. Plus certain people are hypersensitive to any criticism of LeBron.

Whether it was in the exact middle of the season is irrelevant to the point. A guy being added during
the season (after an ugly holdout, while one of the other stars is AWOL) isn't going to get the same reception as a trade in July.
In the summer no games are being played to take people's attention away from the trade. The harden trade was in January. There was a lot of other things going on. Doesn't matter if it was done after game 10 or at the trade deadline.

After joining the 73 win team who were favorites and not to mention, beat you from down 3-1... just nothing's going to top that at this point. I personally don't think the Lakers are a superteam so you won't hear me complain. Westbrook and Lebron are both huge question marks at this point of their careers. I'd love for a few more seasons of Lebron at a top 5 level, but at 37 years old expectations have to be realistic. Don't trust AD's health either. And per usual, Westbrook will look terrible for about the first half of the season until he acclimates to new teammates.
