Had a few drinks and shot the shit with him. Legit broke the news to him the Lakers got Westbrick as we sat there. We both agreed Scottie, his buddy, has been talking out of his ass to sell books. We got into a small argument about the final play of that game where Scottie sat out. He defended his buddy. But said the PJ comments were ridiculous. Also, he implied when I asked, that there might be some credibility, more than we even know, about that first MJ retirement being a soft suspension. Also asked him about perceived iciness between him and Mike.

I have Snapchat video saved but I’m not posting it. Also met James Worthy. Stayed at the Hyatt Regency. There was a National sport card convention going on across the street. Had a small talk with Big Game James but he wasn’t as friendly. And I only said something to him in passing. Horace and I sat there for awhile though.

I met Bill Cartwright in SF like 4 years ago, I asked him which player was more difficult to guard Kareem or Hakeem and he gave me the most ridiculous answer ever, "I never looked at my opponents that way, my job was to outperform them" or something along those lines. Sorry, Bill. You never outperformed those guys. lol.

Regardless of whether or not Cartwright succeeded in outperforming them, that's the right attitude to have if you're going to play the game.
