This is trolling on a bron stan level. Howard and melo aren't anywhere near all stars

Melo lacks efficiency as a star but when I watched him on Portland the past couple years in the big games he was clutch as ****. You can hate on Melo for a lot of things but he has balls taking and making big shots. And that's all they need him for. Dwight was awesome in the 2020 playoffs, a great goon player to have especially since the league looks the other way on him fouling guys. The Lakers will be able to just bum rush the rim and play violent as hell and it will work. All money should be put down on them. Nets have comparable talent but far more finesse and injury prone. And the league doesn't like kyrie and harden. They aren't apart of the banana boat crew aka the go along get along gang.

HoopsNY

Bit of a stretch seeing that Howard and Anthony are many years removed from producing all-star quality ball, let alone having all-star selections.

I do agree that LA should be the favorites coming out of the west, and ultimately winning the championship. Melo fits the Bron ball system well in that he can be a spot up shooter, and can produce as one as we saw with Portland.

Howard is a good piece as a fifth man, and already won a title alongside LeBron, so chemistry shouldn't be an issue.

Having guys like Monk off the bench is huge, and a trio of Westbrook-LeBron-AD, if healthy, should secure them 65 wins and a title. But the Nets are capable of beating them if they're healthy.

The next season will boil down to who remains healthy, given the obvious age and fragility of a lot of teams out there.

Kawhi and Murray are coming off of ACL injuries. Brooklyn has its injury woes with Kyrie and Harden. Paul is aging. LeBron is aging and AD and him both have health issues.

Let's see who's healthy come playoff time.

Every single player on the roster is a washed up reject outside of Anthony Davis. Certainly not worried about them. Kawhi has 3 months to recover before the season even starts, he will be back by allstar break to stomp his foot up Lebron's ass like he always does.

I wouldn't even favor lakers against warriors in a playoff series. Draymond is one of the best anthony davis defenders and now they have Curry\Klay. Washed up rejects wont cut it.

The only problem is can he still play like that this season I would rest him and play the younger guys and save his legs until the playoffs when needed then play him heavy minutes when needed otherwise he won't be able to keep playing at a high level the whole season and James also needs to sit out, let Russell carry the team with shooters otherwise these guys won't make it because of age, Davis is so injury prone he will probably be out again next year with injuries so other guys will have to step up.

I don't understand what all the fuss is about. We've seen these teams stacked with old superstars before and they never made it very far. Plus AD will most likely be injured again for half of the season. So it's really just Westbrook and Lebron but Lebron is obviously slowing down too. The Nets should be the much stronger "super team" imo.

I was one of the few saying pre-season that sh!t wouldn’t work, and that LeBron was gonna risk his own legacy, Westbrick’s legacy, and what little legacy Howard has, by all 3 of them getting caught with the needle. Obviously that didn’t happen yet, but a far more embarrassing reality happened prior. Missing both the playoffs AND THE PLAY-IN !

Even in a 2k22 simulation, AD would get hurt and miss tons of time, and none of the mid-30’s bets would play over 60 games.

Only idiots thought that the Lakers were the favorites out West.

Many fans, analysts, and so called "NBA experts" have a tendency to overrate LeBron's supporting cast (in order to downplay his achievements). Also, a lot of people believe that having good depth doesn't matter (which is wrong by the way; good depth is very important for a championship contender).

Hopefully in the future, people will stop automatically thinking that a team is the favorite to come out on top just because LeBron is on the team (one player can't do everything) and that depth doesn't matter because it clearly does.
