I heard this statement made that Lowry is the greatest Raptor of all time.

Toronto fans, you agree?

Top 3 are Lowry, Bosh, and Kawhi who only played there one season

What a joke of a franchise

Leonard didn't play long enough. Yeah, he got a ring. He's top 5ish but can't put him over Vince, Bosh or Kyle. He can be 4 or 5 with DeMar.

Vince Carter has a much bigger impact to basketball in Canada. But for the Raptors alone, Lowry is above them all.

It has to be Vince, right? Lowry hasn't even been a Raptor that much longer, and Vince was 100x more iconic on top of being the better player.

You gotta give that to Kawhi. Got traded somewhere he didn't wanna play and won them a title. No harm no foul when he left either.

Carter really first put the franchise on the map. It was still a very new franchise when he came along but his highlight dunks got the team on Sports Center and even though imo he never lived up to his full potential, he was a solid star for them for a while but was never gonna lead the team out the second round.

60 games isn't even enough to be titlesld the best player in the league, it's not enough to be titles the best player on a franchise. Championship or not.

NO ONE would have given Chris Paul the title of greatest Sun last month had they won it all so why does Leonard get to get that title of Greatest Raptor?

Suns had legit players like Barkley and Nash, Toronto's a dumpster of a franchise overall.

Legit players who never won right...
This isn't the Charlotte Bobcats we're talking about.
So, winning championship trumps everyone unless they're Suns with Barkley (4 seasons) and (no Finals appearance.)

If he would have won MVP that season, it could be a discussion. All NBA 2nd team with 60 regular season games played, nah.

you have to at least make an all nba 2nd team to be the greatest at anything. Maybe the greatest at eating donuts.

The question is, can Vince's 6.5 seasons in Toronto beat Lowry's 9 seasons.

Lowry played more seasons and was more successful. But Vince was the face of the franchise while Lowry was just one of the guys.

I tend to side with Vince. This is like Ray Allen vs Khris Middleton and who's the greater Bucks now.

Is KD a greater Warrior than Steph because he has 2 Finals MVPs after joining them?
Is Moses Malone a greater Sixers than Doc J ... hell no!
No ... same reason why Leonard isn't over Kyle or anyone once else important like VC or Bosh.
Kawhi literally came into a winning franchise over the past 5 seasons or so before he joined.

TOR wins before KW joined
14 - 48 wins
15 - 49 wins
16 - 56 wins
17 - 51 wins
18 - 59 wins
19 - 58 wins Leonard's one season
20 - 53 wins / no Leonard or DeMar

He joined a team that avg 53 wins in the past five seasons before he got there.
If the team won like 31 games the season before than he joins and they win sure. He literally just got them over the hump.

I agree with the conclusion but this line of thinking is incorrect.

First, Lowry has never been on the same level as Dr J or Steph. He's at best the same level as Klay or Mo Cheeks. So the correct question should be, is Moses a greater Sixer than Mo Cheeks? Or is KD a greater Warrior than Klay?

Second, the hump Kawhi got them over was much bigger than what Moses and KD had to get over. Kawhi was replacing Derozan, arguably the Raptor's best player while Moses wasn't replacing Dr J or KD replacing Steph. Also, even with Derozan they were not seen as a contender at all, unlike Dr J or Steph's teams who even without KD was already a serious contender.

Raptors had already crossed the curtain hump before Kawhi joined; reaching East Finals. And it was coincidental that another hump that Raps and every other East team couldn't cross, LeBron, was gone by that time. They weren't seen as a contender just because of the same obstacle everyone else in the East had to face and by 2016 Trash Brothers Era Raptors could beat any teams in 7 games but Cavs.

They were one of the top team in the east but just like the Celtics, I don't think they were seen as contender even without Lebron being there.

Well, I was going in the right direction.
How about LeBron vs Elgin Baylor. Who's a greater Laker ...

Lowry might not had been the most talented or athletic but his bulldog mentality really built this team.

You could see a huge difference in the team when he's on the floor. His leadership and the way he molded players are things you don't see on a stats sheet.

He's definitely the greatest Raptor of all time.

We are forced to give him that title. But technically he shouldn't be, I am sorry.

VC brought the CITY on the map. Kyle and DeRozan had the keys but couldn't deliver then came King Kawhi. I mean the man is the raptor player to win FMVP trophy as a member of the TORONTO RAPTORS.
