1) A study showed the case trend from Jan 31, 2021 to May 23, 2021 showed that places with higher vaccination rates had significantly more cases than places with lower vaccination rates. Why is that? Also, how "far behind" are the red states in terms of vaccinations when compared to blue states?

Blue state governors opened up this year.

No, actually the people in those states just didn't buy into the pseudoscience as much, so the governors couldn't get away with locking them down as hard. They preferred to live their lives rather than beg the gov't to lock them down. Outcomes happened to be better than the more stringent states.

Fox News actually supported Trump's National State of Emergency, Trump's social distancing guidelines, Trump's urge for people wear masks, and are huge supporters of Trump's Operation Warp Speed. In fact, Trump spends a significant amount of time talking about how great the vaccine is. He send hundreds of emails out about how great the vaccine is. He also said his Nat'l Emergency (which enabled all the shutdowns and $13.3 trillion to be spent in the name of Covid) saved millions of lives.
