I put a higher value on a 2010’s summer league championship than a 90s ring
Hell the 2020 Iowa energy would run roughshot over the entire league in the 90’s. The game is just leaps and bounds….light

All of this stupid nonsense and idiocy we just regurgitated still doesn't support the argument that the 90s were weak. The 90s were a defensive and pro-athletic era due to copycatting the Pistons.
Teams adjusted to that as they could. It was a domino effect
Unless you're talking about the west coast. They barely played defense and would be more uptempo. Warriors, Suns, Sonics maybe. I forget :lol

5 pages in, no one has articulated why the 90s were such a great era. No super teams besides Bulls. None. Zero. Nada.
Great thread OP. Michael Jordan has 0 rings at best
He won in 96-97 when the 3 pt line was shortened. Asterisks
He retired before his 2nd threepeat. Asterisk for 98 and double asterisks for 96-97
He faced Magic who had aids. Asterisk
So overall Mike has 2 rings at most and 2 double asterisks which invalidate them.:facepalm

Pippen was still a perfect teammate for Jordan at the end of the day because he complimented him better than anyone else could. He was able to do all of the other things that Jordan didn't have to bother focusing on. He even defended the other teams best player more often than not. The best kind of sidekick is one who doesn't have to sacrifice the best aspects of their games in order to let you be the best version of yourself that you can be. It's like Oscar when he was with Kareem or Kareem when he was with Magic or Wade when he was with LeBron.

Those were 1 man teams with nothing around them. Like a early LeBron cavs team, or a solo Dwight team.
Hakeem got knocked out of the 1st round more than Jordan did.
Robinson did nothing in the 90s and had no one around him until a top 5 player was drafted next to him, which Jordan never faced.
Shaq had a 1 man team. Penny Hardaway sucks.
Kobe was straight garbage player until the year 1999, 2000. Which Jordan was no longer playing. And Utah took a dive after 1998.
Anything else?

is this 90s ball era? :oldlol:
and you know what happened in that play? Jordan palm faked a pass and the player (name escapes me right now) did a full 360 only to find out Jordan is still controlling the ball. Completely toyed with him like the greatest of all time would. Even the crowed ate that shit up.
Then you have Lebron and we all know how this story ends
