View Full Version : Will MJ's record for retirements in a single career EVER be broken!?

Obviously this is the sort of dubious record nobody is proud to break/hold, but... do you think it's possible someone will ever officially retire more than three times? They say records are made to be broken, but I have a hard time seeing this one. I feel like there's just too much shame and disgrace in quitting that often on your sport and on your teammates.

Also, on a semi-related note, can a career truly be called successful if you did not win a championship with multiple organizations? Some people are fortunate to be in the right place at the right time in life. It doesnt really prove anything.

I think Brett Favre retired then came back 4 years in a row :lol Besides him, I can't think of anyone else who retired 3 different times

The weird thing is, op isnt even a bron stan, he thinks he's just comedy gold, but as nothing he posts is funny, it just floods the forum with more trash.

I meant FMVPs, but point taken. I don't consider Russell GOAT although he's got an argument.

Funny how op talks about retirement of an nba legend when he himself has multiple threads talking about retiring from posting here in ish but hasn't made it true so far.

The award didn’t exist when Russell played. He’d clearly have more than Jordan if it had.
