Durant's got to be the GOAT right?

Durant, LeBron, Carmelo, MJ, & maybe Barkley?

While Jordan was great in 84 he basically had the worst showing on the team in 92. He's definitely not top 5 for the USA team.

so you think a guy that has 2 bronze medals, got saved by kobe for one of his 2 gold medals, got owned by spanoulis and bums. got owned by arroyo and bums, got owned by a guy I dont even remember and bums. and finally got owned by Manu and bums. and has skipped the last 2 Olympics while being every bit capable of playing because hes afraid to go without kobe... is a top 5 team usa member of all time

you are without a shadow of a doubt the biggest c*ck sucking f*ggot on ISH you racoon faced autistic retard

and btw kobe not only saved the gold medal. hes undefeated and changed the culture of team USA. everyone from wade to bosh to Howard and others have stated that he showed them all how to prepare and take sh*t seriously.

kobe is easily miles ahead of your boyfriend on the international stage.

Another account? And stop projecting as you are by far the biggest cokk sucking dimwit fakkot on ish…not to mention a dead beat father. Also, Wade already had a championship and FMVP (something Kobe couldn’t say in 2008), so he didn’t teach him shit. He was also quite easily the best player on the 2008 team. This Lebronze shit is also fukking stupid. Lebron was coming off his rookie season straight out of hs and was 9th in mpg at 11.5 on the 2004 Olympic team, dipshit. He’s one of the last players on that team to be blamed. Kobe was an absolute scrub who would never have been invited to play for an Olympic team coming off his rookie season.

Lebron is definitely not in it lol.

3 Gold Medals. 2 Olympic Gold and 2007 Fiba America's in which he led his team in scoring. LeBron averaged more points than Jordan in Fiba competitions. Barkley LeBron, Shaq, Durant and Melo are the correct answers

All of that aside it's not unfair to say lebron isn't in the top5 Olympians. Obviously he is a better player then all but one but he hasn't represented them enough

Ahh I was more thinking about Olympics not USA in general. My error on that one

Lebron23
08-07-2021, 06:14 AM
hes been to 3 lmao.. 2004,2008,2012

bronze/kobe bail out/kobe,wade,cp3 bail out

Kobe is terrible in international competitions. Just look at his shooting percentage.

bronze/kobe bail out/kobe,wade,cp3 bail out

and 2 should be the prerequisite. going to more is kinda crazy unless it's today's soft era or a roid abuser

Yeah which is why I said it's fine to not have him in the top 5 American Olympians. Durants got first place on lock. Kobe should def be there.

My all that aside was the silly shit between you and iverson I mean fatrick I mean lebron 24

Worst showing?

He had all the tough defensive assignments. And coasted offensively. Why would they need him to go full bore? Same thing for Kobe in 2008. Spearheaded the defense.

In 1992 Jordan was

#2 in points
#3 in assists
#1 in steals

Go home, you’re drunk again.

Jordan didn't quite play up to his standard in that Olympics but still they begged him to come. It wasnt gonna be a dream team without Jordan.

No he didn’t need or have to play to those standards. He was busy golfing and having fun. He still didn’t come close to the worst showing. He was their best player (per the team itself) … and finished that high in all those categories while basically coasting.

nayte

Yeah while technically he was the best player . Barkley at least still had a better Olympics. It's not taking away from Jordan cause as u said he was more interested in other shit. But purely on the games played he wasn't the best

Tough defensive assignments :oldlol:…they were blowing every team out by 40 points. And yea he was 2nd in scoring…because he took the most shots. He averaged 14.9ppg on 14.1 shot attempts which is absolutely awful vs these scrub teams.

Top 5 Team USA basketball goat list

KD - Scorer
MJ - 1984 and Defense
Kobe - Culture Changer
LeBron - All Around
Melo - Scorer

KD is number one now though. The scoring. Longevity. 3x Olympic Gold Medals (12, 16, 21) and 2010 FIBA as a youngin. Just amazing. Salute to Slim Reaper.

Best part was him and pip shutting down kukoc. Still in 84 Jordan done work

Yes Michael guarded the other teams best perimeter player. 4-5 steals per game. That’s the end he focused on.

Much like Kobe in 2007 and 2008, which inspired everyone else to play defense finally, and restore USA basketball dominance. Neither one of those teams (1992 or 2008) needed Michael and Kobe’s offense.

Now, if 1992 the games that actually gotten tight, you would’ve saw all of them organically turn to Michael to bail them out of pressure pack situations.

The same way the 2008 team relied on Kobe (and Wade) to do the same.

Same way the 2012 team relied on LeBron down the stretch when things were starting to get tight close in games against quality opponents.

You do realize LeBron outplayed Kobe in both 2008 & 2012 right? More points, more rebounds, more assists, more steals, & a way more higher fg% in both 2008 & 2012. Kobe wasn't even the best SG in the 2008 team, Wade dominated the Olympics that year, he was our best player, he showed the World he had surpassed Kobe.

Branstans always speak about lebron's stats alone but forget to appreciate kobe's presence in a winning lineup. Lebron will focus on stats and say he's done enough. Others like kobe focus in intangibles like leadership, intensity, and setting expectations and teamwork. Lebron sucks.

Not bad, but there is no case for Kobe being better than Barkley in Olympic play. Barkley was USA's best player in both '92 & '96, Kobe didn't come close to that, his struggles offensively is enough for me to leave him off the top 5. He was liked the 3rd best player for USA in 2008, and like the 4th best player in 2012, but all of a sudden he is a top 5 USA player ever? Yea right. :oldlol:

lol at Kobe and teamwork going hand in hand, Kobe was in fact clutch as hell in the Gold medal game in 2008, our closer. But if you look at the bigger picture both Wade & LeBron outplayed Kobe throughout the Olympics in 2008, in 2012 Kobe was kind of an afterthought on the court. You can't argue basic facts.

Taking representation into account Lebron, Melo, and KD are def in there. Afterwards you can probably say MJ and Barkley, but its hard to really make a list when guys don't play every go around. And the older generations could only play as amateurs.

We could also take the FIBA tournament into play.

LeBron outproduced Kobe in every stat in both 2008 & 2012, he was the closer in 2012 as well while Kobe was shooting 43% :oldlol:

Just for the lolz

2008
LeBron: 60 fg%
Kobe: 46 fg%

2012
LeBron: 60 fg%
Kobe: 43 fg%

LeBron also outscored, out rebounded, & out passed Kobe in both of those Olympics, but because Kobe played defense in 2008 it makes him better. :oldlol:

Kobe wasn't even better than Wade, that is a fact.
