You need to change your prediction bro. He has a higher ceiling than Prime Devin Booker.

22/5/5 dude is the real deal and he's on a team where he's gonna have a green light

Do you think they are going to trade John Wall? Build the team around Porter and Green.

Yeah thats what i was thinking. they have some nice young players. They wouldn't be good anytime soon but in 3 or 4 years they could be nice. Green and kpj are both gonna be stars

How many rookies have averaged 20/5/5?

It happens. Probably will start happening more until the league does something to cut scoring down.

Most predictions haven't been quite that high. He'll be on a bad team and is an uber talented scorer. I'll go something like 19/4/3

We’re talking about Jalen Green, not Jalen Suggs.

But either way, you’re splitting hairs and being intentionally difficult. You made a blanket statement to the thread when only like 2 out of 10 or so people claimed he’d have the numbers you said wouldn’t happen.

Anthony Edwards did 19/5/3 last year. I don’t think it’s crazy to say that Green could at least match that. At all. Not only is he a more talented scorer, but he’s more NBA ready having played his 18 year old season in the G League instead of the SEC.

He said it won't happen, and you said it happens... 20/5/5 has a very small amount of members, and only one of those members didn't end up being an all-time great(bar anything happening to Doncic with injuries). It is an achievement to put a big deal of hype into.

So let’s say he has 19/5/4. Would that be crazy? See why I’m claiming he (and now you) are splitting hairs.

Splitting hairs? How many people are in the 19/5/4 club?

Splitting hairs? How many people are in the 19/5/4 club?

There were 17 guys who scored at least 25ppg this past season.

2011? 7
2001? 9
1991? 9

Even in 2006 when scoring hiked because of the rule change only 11 did it.

Combine that with the fact that rookies are getting more and more playing time and leeway to take as many shots as they want on bad teams, then it's easy to see why some of these clubs may not be as exclusive.

Just in the last 3 years Luka, Trae, Ja, Zion, and Anthony Edwards have put up these kinds of numbers, if not exactly 19/5/4 or whatever. Hell, Donovan Mitchell put up 21/4/4

Again, given the nature of the league now I'm not sure why people "have no idea what they're talking about" to suggest that Green could put up very solid rookie numbers on a 27 win team.

Sorry I meant green. Not Suggs. Got my jalens mixed up

And yes some of the stats in this thread are possible. I got caught up in some of the extreme, unreasonable ones.

Yes

First I don’t know how to find stats that specific. I was able to find 20-5-5 easily

Second if you keep up your logic you can eventually bring it down to whatever level you want. If 19-5-4 is crazy, what about 18-4-3? What about 16-3-2?

You have to make the line somewhere. 20-5-5 isn’t happening.
