It is bipartisan too. Biden got democrats and Republicans working together for the first time in multiple years. It's a good thing to see. Now I just want to see a breakdown of said bill to see how the money is divided and what goes where.

The president did his part. But chemistry and trust among the senators was what made $550 billion of bipartisanship happen.

Trump threatened all GOP legislators to vote against it.
They ignored him.

Government was actually functional enough to do the bare minimum of what it's supposed to do.

Fine. Better than nada.

All that screaming at the top of his lungs since November 3, 2020, but it's all falling on deaf ears. Nobody is listening to him except his small number of sheep. 2022 will be a gut punch to him and his loyalists when they find out that they simply don't have as much support as they thought.

There are things in the bill that will harm all of you. Totally normal.

Holy shit

Imagine thinking this is the first time Ds and Rs are working together "in multiple years"

Democrats and Republicans (and Trump) have been working closely together for 15+ months on allocating $13.3 trillion for their War on Covid-19

Finally Republicans are making an effort to work with Democrats.

And of course no one celebrating knows how to or discusses how to manage the U.S debt and restore an economy that could live
without life support

Scary. I don't know how governments can break their addiction either.

is there any doubt that we need an infrastructure bill though? obviously there are differing opinions on how targeted it should be and it's specifics like that ridiculous gas tax and infrastructure privatization, but it needs to come sometime, doesn't it? what SHOULD have been trimmed down as far as spending was the insane covid bailouts that should have been targeted towards individuals, families and small businesses only. ffs the airlines got bailed out big time and they STILL laid off massive workers. why can't we cut the military budget? why can't we bring ALL of our troops home, stop sending other countries millions of $, legalize tax & regulate prostitution and drugs? that'll help move get things moving in the right direction. what do you propose?
