Yeah, with a good 3-and-D PF and some decent bench it would be a contender. Too bad Raptors front office f***ed it up.

the problem is raptor management never believed in tmac so he likely never realizes his potential. and vince lacked heart and never really worked hard so he wouldn't have been a good leader for that group.
i think they coulda made the finals a few times but they likely lose to the lakers or spurs

Isiah Thomas was the problem. He had a myriad of issues there and it proved fatal.

Butch Carter had a lot of issues there and the fallout from Zeke didn't help. In addition, TMac was from Orlando and that's where his heart really was.
But a team with Mighty Mouse, Camby, Vince, and Tmac would have been epic.
They might be better than your fave laughingstock team the indiana pacers.

There was no way that team works. Carter and McGrady were both too ball dominant. And to make matters worse Stoudamire was not a great facilitator. Granted Camby was a beast on the boards but he was a better player in Portland.

Mac was never supposed to be the man in Orlando. Grant got hurt and that happened by pure coincidence. Mac wasn't even a starter in Toronto, How was he ball dominant?

They did try to mentor Vince to be a leader via Charles Oakley, giving away Camby to do so, but it didn't turn out well.
