Bosh, Wade, Hughes, Mo, Jamison, Ingram, Kuzma, or Schroeder wet the bed, they just sucked and Lebron doesn't have enough help.

Ultimately, no one gave a shit that Jordan had no help in 89' and 90' - everyone said he lost because he didn't elevate teammates like Bird and Magic did.. The term "elevating teammates" originated by people describing why Jordan couldn't win like Bird and Magic.

Otoh, lebron is NOT held to this standard and everyone blames his teammates for losses, while Lebron continues to get credit for elevating teammates without ever actually doing it.

Carry on the fraud - I must say it's a good fraud.. The Lebron resume manufacturing should be made into an American Greed episode

People at the time were sucking Jordan off and calling him the Goat even before he won a ring.

So I fail to see your point.

Everyone who was alive at the time knows that the Media treated Jordan with Kid's gloves.

As he was the golden boy of the NBA and the money-making machine they relied on.

Did the Media ever roast Jordan as they would with Lebron when he only took 8 shots in game 5 of the 1989 ECF despite averaging over 20 FGA's for that entire season?

No one called him goat before he won a ring.

He wasn't goat specifically because he HADN'T won a ring... And people said the reason he couldn't win was because he didn't "elevate teammates"... that term came from the early Jordan years.

Red Auerbach said Jordan had a case to be the Goat and this was in 1990 before he had even won a ring.

Larry Bird recognized MJ as the GOAT right at the beginning of his career and called him GOD.

If you lived through the 1980s then you would know that the media and the announcers always said that they could be watching the GOAT when it came to Jordan.

Hell 3ball go to YouTube and search the 1989 playoff matchup between the bulls and pistons. Pregame of game 1 the announcers were talking about if he was the greatest player to ever touch a basketball

Jordan wasn't recognized as goat until 1993 tbh

The occasional genius like Bobby Knight, Bird or Auerbach recognized the reality early on, but that's the exception - the mainstream said he wasn't as good as Bird or Magic because he didn't "elevate teammates" - the term "elevate teammates" originated by people describing why Jordan couldn't win like Bird and Magic - if you lived through the 80's, you'd know this

It's never Lebron's fault.. Every year going into the RS & POs there's always some dumb excuse about how he does not have enough help. The worst was the 2018 Playoffs because idiots just looked at his 2nd/3rd option ppg and made no mention of how deep that team was.. Rodney Hood (17 ppg scorer in Utah) was the 9th man in the rotation and Jordan Clarkson (6MOY winner this year and a solid double-digit scorer every year of his career) was 10th in mpg in the Playoffs on that team. Heck, that Cavs team had Rose, Wade & IT early in the season too and Lebron couldn't do anything with those guys, Rose is still a really good player but Lebron didn't have any use for him nor others because he wanted to dominate the ball instead of trying to incorporate other ball-handlers into his offense to take the load off him. He cared more about his stats and the narrative instead of building a winning culture.

I have to disagree with this one 3ball. There were a lot of people calling him GOAT, not a consensus but a lot.

That's not really true, Sports Illustrated did a feature of Jordan in 1991 after his first ring and were making claims about him being the GOAT then. By 1992, it was regularly spoken of during the NBA finals. I was just a kid then, but I do remember that much.

By 1993, it was signed, sealed, and delivered, especially when he announced his retirement. But it certainly was mentioned as early as 1991. I can't speak before that as I was too young and wasn't watching the league prior.

Larry said Mike was the best he ever saw. Dean Smith and Bob Knight also echoed that.

But before MJ won a ring, that crowd was small. Those comments were also based on a talent evaluation, and not so much on greatness. MJ got more 'GOAT' talk after three-peating in '93, but it really got traction in 95-96. Especially after breaking the regular-season record.

Jordan was afforded players that he could actually grow and groom with draft picks and in Prime trades …

Lebron got crappy trades, expiring contracts and players with Lots of league miles on them🙄

Try again…
