Of all the HOF tier NBA players he's probably the least respected player among the knowledgeable masses other than Isiah Thomas. He gets maybe Tim Duncan level respect at the most

What can he do more of to gain the respect that Bill Russell, Kobe, MJ, Jerry West and Bird enjoy?

Too late for him to do anything now. The damage was not one-time or a few instances, it was a consistent effort by lebron to recruit and place himself with huge advantages to win, plus all the BS that he does (fake drama, flopping, complaining, cringe ass interviews, etc).

I thought 2016 was a good way to get back after the mistake in 2011. But then he managed to spoil 2016 by calling himself the goat. Then he just simply went back to his old ways in LAL.

Well one thing he could do is to rip your head off and stuff it down a garbage disposal, then put a flaming pumpkin on top of your body and take selfies with it while he laughs at eats caviar.

How the **** would you feel about that bro?

How does that make you feel??

After 18 years, looks like its getting worse by the day. Imagine the next generation seeing lebron's flopping videos, or ugly footwork and limited stiffarming videos. The narrative that lebron relied on superteams/heavy recruitment will never go away and will be used out of context.

he just has to shut up and ball. he's already established who he is and all the flaws that goes with his persona.

if he wins he will be hated, if he loses he will be laughed at.

once time passes he will be appreciated because absence makes the heart grow fonder.

It's funny because it isn't a surprise in hindsight that he came back and outlasted a team with weak athleticism and strength like the Curry/Klay/Dray Warriors... He could never do that in thei 90's against the bruisers he would face.. If they got a 3-1 lead, it would be over.

The media says he's #1 or #2

So he gets the all-time respect and it's more than he deserves because making the Finals with hand-picked super-teams means...... literally nothing

He made it okay to be being coddled/spoiled and not really earn it

he's way better than curry, who wouldn't even be a ballplayer in previous eras where threes weren't respected...

but kobe simply played a superior WAY that yielded better-performing teammates and teams.

Kobe won nothing without reliable bigger men by his side.

Nothing to repair. Hardcore fans know he is an all time great player. Pretty sure his contemporaries are fully aware of that, too. It's just really Jordan, Kobe, and other player stans who have a problem with him.

Fortunately for Bron he's had an all-star big backing him up on all his rings AND a future HOF guard in all but this last chip.

Dat help. :oldlol:

Things that would help Lebron.

1. Win another MVP at this advanced age.
2. Win a couple of more championships with the Lakers.
3. Pass Kareem in career scoring.
4. Tone down on the crap that people don't like.

come out and admit he took steroids. say his rings and stats don't count. come back clean and win just one time without a colluded bullsh*t roster in a real 82 game season with fans without a do or die bail out shot in an elimination game without the other teams best player in the series getting suspended

just one time. its not asking much.

Dunno what you mean by players but regarding fans… he’s already surpassed their favorite players. The damage is done. All he can do now is live rent free.

Off the top of my head...

Stop flopping.
Stop whining and complaining about everything.
Stop incessantly acting like a victim.
Stop quitting in the 4th quarter when things aren't going his way.
Stop being lazy on defense.
Stop colluding.
Stop making excuses about everything.
Stop sucking up to China.
Stop sharing his ignorant opinions on political issues he knows nothing about.

So yeah, that's a partial list.

It's too late, all the colluding ruined it. Had he stayed in Cleveland and got that God-forsaken dump of a city 3 or 4 championships...that would have been legendary.

Go to a team that has a decent lineup, don't recruit, compete and lead. Be authentic, don't statpad. Doesn't matter if they reach the finals or not. Just be authentic.

ClipperRevival

Not much. There will always be a solid group of hard core fans that will never truly respect him as a man. They will give him his due as a sure fire top 10 player but given all of the BS stuff he's done throughout his career, not respect him in the mold of an MJ, Bird, Kobe, etc in terms of mentality.
