Defense matters a lot too. A lot of those guys are shit defenders fro most of the year.

Steph is a solid defender. Mediocre on ball and great team ball defender. As it showed throughout his career being in many top defensive teams throughout the years. 2020 warriors were bottom 5 in defensive rating. 2021 warriors are top 5. Curry demands so much attention offensively it affects overall fatigue for the opposing team. Not just that, but during 3 point shooting hot streaks you put the pressure on the other team to try to outscore you, making them force 3 point attempts they wouldn't normally take as opposed to trying to get the best shot possible. He's no 2010 Dwight Howard, but his impact is nonetheless phenomenal.

He had the 4th most 3 pointers made in a season... playing just 63 games. He was on pace to break his own '16 3pointer record. His ts was on par with his 2016 season too, albeit slightly lower. No one shoots .655 ts as a team's top scorer. It's damn near impossible.
