mike had three years (age 22, 23, 24) with his bulls run yet he was a mediocre 1-9 player who lived off of reputation with the tarheels, why was he so bad?

Was he bad? Or was his team around him bad?

Teams who are bad enough to finish with a bottom 5 record the 2 seasons prior usually aren't expected to turn around and win a playoff series the next year by adding a rookie. Sounds like you're already establishing a GOAT standard.

Then if a guy plays 21 total games in a season (regular and playoffs), I don't think blame can be placed on him if his team couldn't get out of the 1st round despite averaging 44 points in a series. Sounds like a compounded GOAT standards.

The problem is there are posters on here that are saying Jordan always had bad teams. And that he was sooooo great, that he won 6 championships with trash players. They created this 1-9 monster.
