“So, LeBron James hit me up one time when he was with the Cavs,” World Peace said on the Aug. 9 episode (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d5YGgodv13g) of Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay. “I remember I was excited because LeBron hit me up; I’m a big fan. Even though he’s younger, I was a big fan. But before that, I didn’t wanna play with Kobe — RIP Kobe — I didn’t wanna play with LeBron, I didn’t wanna play with [Tracy McGrady]; I wanted to play against these guys. So, when LeBron hit me to come play with [him], I was like, ‘I can’t come play.’” .

If you’re wondering how he got to the Lakers when he didn’t wanna team up:

.“No teams wanted me,” he said to Sharpe. “After that, I didn’t call back LeBron, so then the Lakers called; I said, ‘I gotta just go because I don’t know if I’m gonna get a contract.’ But it’s not in me to play with anyone.”

I bet we would all be surprised if we knew all the people that Lebron unsuccessfully tried to collude with over the years.

He's the Paul Pierce stopper as proven in game 7 of the 2010 finals.

But pierce only averaged 13PPG vs cavs in 2010, it was rondo who torched them.

I think Lakers lose to Celtics in 2010 without artest. Pierce torched them in 08. Artest was able to shut pierce down and hit the biggest shot during game 7

LeFraud was getting rejected by role players because they know hes's not a winner without switching teams. Same goes for that clown Durant which is why OKC had trouble attracting role players.

Kobe was the original at joining massively stacked teams.

Do you people understand that Metta World Artest is LYING THROUGH HIS TEETH???

Lebron absolutely did not call Ron nor anyone about joining him. That's not LeKing's modus operandi. Lebron is a solitary hunter. If people choose to sign contracts to play where he's playing, that's their call. He stays out of personnel decisions. He lets the world revolve around him, not vice versa, like a true ALPHA.

The dealbreaker was when lebron told him he would have to settle for Delonte‘s sloppy seconds.

"It aint in my nature to play with guys and team up so I just decided to join a top 15 all time player that was in the Finals the year prior."

"Last year after the devastating loss in game 6 to the Boston Celtics, Ron Artest came in our locker and walked in the shower with Kobe Bryant. Kobe's there taking a shower - and this is a locker room the coaches have, it's off limits - so, Ron said, 'Coach, I can help your team, I can get that championship for the Lakers.' I said, 'Well, thanks Ron, that's very nice, I appreciate your sympathies. We'll see what happens as you go through this year.' Then, he walked out of that coaches' area, and in to the shower and told Kobe the same thing. Kobe's been knowing Ron's intentions for the last two years ... He didn't soap down Kobe and he didn't towel him off, I'm not saying that.” - Phil Jackson

From SI.com:

Throughout 2004--05, All-Star small forward LeBron James had tried to persuade Hughes to come to Cleveland, where he could play Pippen to James's Jordan. LeBron's appeals intensified during a late-season Wizards win in which Hughes scored 31 to damage the Cavs' playoff chances. "We talked about it that whole game," says Hughes. "He kept saying, 'Come play with me.' And I kept saying, 'Nah, I'm staying in Washington.'"

https://vault.si.com/vault/2005/08/15/how-larry-got-to-cleveland

Hughes averaged 22/6/5 with 1st team defense in 2005 (peak Pippen stats).

Keep in mind that the 2004 Cavs had zero all-stars, but improved to 2 all-stars in 2005 (Lebron, Zydrunas) and then added Hughes and the future COY in 2006 - so Lebron had 3 seasons to develop his team into a high seed before entering the playoffs, while Jordan was thrown into the playoffs in Year 1 as an eight seed.. But once Jordan got 3 healthy years to develop his team, he made the 2nd Round just like 06' Lebron... And then he destroyed Lebron after that (6/6)

Kendick perkins was also a deciding factor in that finals too, you numbskull.

Iguodala was the paul pierce stopper. But yeah they would lose to the Celtics without Ron because kobe was not big enough to guard PP + if he guarded PP rondo would of dominated the game then without Kobe guarding him

This statement contradicts itself.

You add to that the fact that Ron Artest is one of the most dishonorable players to ever play in NBA and you get the picture.

I'm 90% sure it's a lie.

I mean, was he though? I can recall one point in the series where Artest was struggling so hard to defend Pierce, that Kobe tried to convince Jackson to have him defend Pierce.
