This is a question the world has for the entire middle east.

If these 'extremists' make up only a small fraction of the muslim population... why the hell does the community not deal with the situation? Why does the world always have to come in to lend a helping hand.

There are countless images of able bodied refugees in neighboring countries who have fled. Grow a sack and do what's needed for your country... beats leaving a family behind

There's no organization in the Middle East. They are still very tribal out there as they were 2000 years ago. Those people in Afghanistan look and act the same as they did 2000 years ago. There's been no evolution of progress in that region. That's why they have a hard time organizing and rising up. There is no Alfred the Great in Afghanistan. More like Mohammed the illiterate Scrub.
