The Los Angeles Lakers are actively surveying the landscape to eventually fill out the roster with more depth, and have done so in recently working out Isaiah Thomas, Darren Collison and Mike James, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

Very sad to see the IT's career go downhill. Still seems like yesterday when he was dropping almost 30 PPG and he was revered in the Boston Garden.

He became a liability :confusedshrug:

He didn't even become one. He was one when he was scoring 29 a game and gunning for MVP. He was bottom of the league in whatever defensive stat everyone uses.

Sucks to see the hip injury derail his career, but while it was fun watching him torch teams and look damn near unstoppable in the 4th quarter, he was getting abused on the other end as well.

He's better than half of all the point guards in the league right now. Someone sign him.

When Thomas is on the floor, its basically like having 4 guys on the court on the defensive end. His injury has hurt his mobility, so he isn't even a great consistent scorer anymore.

I'd take a shot on Tyreke Evans before Thomas.

The guy's crying because he scored 81 in a pro-am game like it means something. Peyton Pritchard is probably going to see garbage time minutes for the Celtics this season and he dropped 92 in one of those stupid things the other day. I don't care how bad your hip hurts, that stat line isn't that big of a deal.

I'll be honest, I thought the world of IT until he started backing up his stupid Brinks truck while his hip was degenerating and he was playing negative defense. I still wanted him to do well when he was traded but since the trade its been this endless pity party, like some team owed him $150 million because he had a great run for 18 months.

The Celtics gave IT all the opportunity one can have. He should be thankful for that. In the POs, it was obvious that he was a huge liability on defense.

Why would you think the world of someone that's a multimillionaire that let their sister drive around in a 20 year old car?

Sure it's possible that's what she wanted and I also agree with the sentiment that you shouldn't just give ALL of your money to your family, but come on man, especially with the big show he made of how much he loved her after the fact.

Also... this guy was one of the most overrated players in recent memory.
