Anything that is different or disagrees with their life, values, experiences, beliefs, is an automatic trigger for them. They shut down all rational thought (what little they had to begin with) and they go into self-defense and outrage mode.

So I'm convinced that ever since the 60's, society has created two new realities for most of us. One where we can accept our differences, and one where we cannot. And the Left right now is at a dangerous stage where they cannot accept any differences whatsoever. They feel as though it is an existential threat to them. That's why they want to "cancel" you or label you the most vile thing they can label you, a "racist" or a "traitor". We no longer have anything in common, and we paint each other as the enemy. They paint us as the enemy because we disagree with their way of thinking, and we paint them as the enemy because they come across as insane and intolerant.


Where we go from here and how do we fix this? Who knows. A civil war? Not likely.
