Just think about that for a moment ...

The early 90s Golden State Warriors (Run TMC era of Tim, Mitch, Chris and even the Tim, Mullin, Chris Webber era - Still TMC) have more Hall of Famers than some championship teams from the 90s.

Just from 90-94, they had six All-Stars, a couple of All-NBA 1st teamers and four Hall of Famers.

Hall of Famers
Chris Mullin
Mitch Richmond
Sarunas Marciulionos (mainly international career)
Chris Webber

All-NBA Players
Chris Mullin
Mitch Richmond
Tim Hardaway
Latrell Sprewell
Chris Webber

All-Stars
Chris Mullin
Mitch Richmond
Tim Hardaway
Chris Gatling
Latrell Sprewell
Chris Webber

Tim Hardaway likely gets in the HOF too at some point...

They also had Billy Owens who wasn't an All-Star or anything but he could give them 13-16 ppg and 6-8 rpg. I have a computer NBA game that I play. The '92 Warriors are a fun team to play.

No defense though

True but they'd be perfect for this era. Lots of teams do well with little defense.

IMO only Webber truly deserves to be in the HOF. The other ones are borderline hall of famers.

Run TMC in this era would be crazy.

The team that just won the championship had probably the best defense in the league.

Not one of those guys were a superstar either. But yeah, defense was the main culprit. In that 92 season when they won 55 games they were 3rd in offense, but only 20th in defense.

Between 90-94, Three. Two of them 50 win seasons.

Mullin was on the Dream Team.
Tim Hardaway was starting All-Star games over John Stockton.

They keep Webber and they make noise out west. Once he left Warriors were cursed, one of the worst franchises ever lol until you know when.

But they keep Webber history changes.

lol Starting in the all star game over Stockton means absolutely nothing as that was all fan voting. Of Course Tim Hardaway was more popular than John Stockton. Doesn't take a genius to figure that out. And making the dream team is all well and good, but neither had a superstar impact.

For sure. Defense still wins chips. I'm not saying they'd win. Just saying they'd do well.

Yeah man. Be a fun team to watch.

Those Warriors teams were putting up nearly 120 PPG and were terrible defensively. The 2021 Nets were doing the same and were the favorites to win the title. So what does that tell us?

The Nets have two actual superstars in Durant and Harden, though. The 92 Warriors who won 55 games lost to the lower seeded Sonics in the first round. Neither Mullin (who was terrible in the series) nor Hardaway were able to take over games like Durant and Harden or even Kyrie can sometimes.

Yea that's true, but what do they look like in today's game and rules? I don't think they're winning a title, but I can see them dominating games as well.

The '91 team beat a 55 win Spurs team that was #1 in DRTG. That Spurs team had Robinson, Cummings, Strickland, Elliott, and Anderson.

I think they're a 50+ win team in this era, possibly 55+, and a legitimate contender for the WCF.

They then won 55 in 92 and lost to the lower seeded Sonics in the first round 1-3.

I know. I'm not saying it's a guarantee. I'm saying it's not unreasonable to think a team like that can win 50-55 games and make it to the WCSF or WCF in today's game, especially given the style of play and lack of defense.

That Spurs loss also shows how reliant they were on Robinson. He had an 8.5bpm that season with Rod Strickland being 2nd with a 2.4. Nobody else who played significant minutes even had a 1bpm. Robinson always carried those 90s Spurs teams to more wins than they had any business winning and made them look better than they really were. You throw out names, but the Spurs would have fell off huge if they didn't have Robinson just like they did in 97.

That 92 Warriors team put up 118 ppg on nine 3 pointers attempt. This season Nets 118 on 36 attempts.
