I'll never understand someone being this wrapped up in a grown man's bawlsack.

Being a fan of someone is one thing, but if you think Lebron's has a remote shot at MVP this year you have the IQ of a tree frog.

Why do you say that?

Old Lebron is still a solid contributor, and he's still capable of putting up decent stats. But he's even second fiddle on his own team. AD is more valuable, and the playoffs demonstrated it. As far as leadership goes, he doesn't seem too interested in being the leader anymore either (leaving games early when things don't go his way). Calling for him to win the MPV this year isn't intelligent analysis, it's blind nutthuggery.

Of course, that's just my opinion. I'm sure some of you will disagree.

He was in the MVP discussion last season before the injury and the team has done better without AD and with LeBron than the other way around. :confusedshrug:

Bruh he's a year older and now he has a player in westbrook who plays a similar ball dominant style. It's not that he's not good enough to be an mvp he just won't get the opportunity because of how stacked with talent they are. A player like greek or luka who have less talent but good teams will have better stats but good records.

There's every chance AD will be injured for half of the season and LeBron will have to carry Westbrick :confusedshrug:

Him being in the MVP "discussion" was nothing more than media hype. He never had a shot at MVP.

I highly doubt he's still got it in the tank to carry a team.

LeBron's chances of winning a 5th MVP went out the window the moment Westbrook came to LA.

If LeBron does somehow win a 5th MVP award this year however, I will finally concede that he is the GOAT. That's how confident I am that he's not going to win the award this season.

Yes sir he is definitely winning this year. Trust me, he will average 10 assists easy with westbrook running the break!

LBJ will have one of the most relaxing seasons of his career, with a pitbull in Wesbtrook carrying the load all year long ! :) Check out the below to know why!

Why not? MVP is all about narratives. If Lebron can have top 5-7 production despite being "old and washed" carrying "old washed-up wb" after losing in his only first round of his career he'll have the narrative behind him to win. It's a better shot than a lot of prime Lebron years where it was just "yawn. Lebron's the best in the world again".

I just don't see it. He won't even be the most productive player on his team. Davis will have more points and rebounds and he'll be significantly better defensively. The only way bron could win mvp is if davis gets hurt and the lakers still have a great record but even that's not for certain without davis.

At 37 years old and almost 2 decades in the league and 10 deep playoff runs on top of that... it's inevitable that he will fall off a cliff at some point. To me personally, Lebron's done enough to earn my benefit of the doubt. I remember people doubting him last year, too, and he was playing at a top 5 level up until his injury.

Him being in the MVP "discussion" was nothing more than media hype. He never had a shot at MVP.That's the point though. Lebron's still the NBA's biggest meal ticket. Look at how many threads are made about this man on this site alone. The MVP 90% of the time isn't the best player award. If Lebron puts up pretty numbers and wins 50 games he will have the narrative behind him.

Ah yes

TIL that Brontards in this forum has the potential to influence the voting body of RS MVP. 3Ball about to commit seppuku if that happens
