That was a disgrace. Meanwhile, kawhi is averaging 64 wins a season in 2016\2017 seasons and couldn't win one. They also handed Jerry West the FMVP when he lost.

The league was desperate for stars around that time because nobody watched and their was ABA. I like to say the NBA finally began being a real league once David Stern took over in 1984.

MVP voting was done by players back then. I'm on board with Kareem winning it based on this fact.

Yes. It's very disgraceful that the players of the league deemed Kareem it's Most Valuable Player.
