That's certainly a possible way to evacuate. You send in 20k-30k US troops in on July 31st and completely shutdown Kabul for a month. No Taliban fool is getting in, but of course, you risk more deaths & risk pushing out the evacuation timescale by months or maybe up to a year. You piss off the Taliban with a huge buildup, and they start pushing the PR that US is never leaving for recruitment & more terrorist attacks. You know they will convince illiterates to strap bombs to their chests in name of god and running full speed at checkpoints. They can't even wait a month extra. That still might happen even if Biden delays the evacuation by only a week. There is no reasoning with these irrational illiterate fools.
