In the 2008-09 season Wade had an unbelievable 11 game stretch.

From February the 22nd till March the 14th:

50 pts 5 reb 5 assist

31 pts 7 reb 16 assist

21 pts 2 reb 10 assist

46 pts 8 reb 10 assist

41 pts 7 reb 9 assist

35 pts 6 reb 16 assist

42 pts 6 reb 8 assist

25 pts 8 reb 12 assist

48 pts 6 reb 12 assist

32 pts 4 reb 7 assist

50 pts 10 reb 9 assist

38.3 PPG, 6.3 RPG, 10.4 APG, 3.0 SPG, 1.3 BPG on 55/45/86 shooting were Wade's total averages over those 11 games.

For the entire season, Wade averaged 31.9 PPG / 6.6 APG/ 2.2 STL / 1.3 BLK and 4.5 RPG on 49/31/76

It is probably an unpopular opinion but 2009 Lebron is probably my favourite LeBron season ever just for his pure athleticism as he was just so fun to watch at the time.

Regular Season:

Lead the Cavs to a league-best 66 wins. The only all-star Lebron had was one who was put into the all-star game as a replacement for Chris Bosh(due to injury): Mo Williams

MVP winner. Recipient of 109/121 possible first-place votes.

2nd in DPOY voting to Dwight Howard, who would be recognized as one of the greatest defensive players of the modern era.

2nd in PPG to Wade: The most efficient scoring season for anyone in top 5 for ppg ( 59% TS)

2nd highest season in PER of the modern era. Also lead the league in Win Shares, Win Shares/48, Box Plus-Minus, and VORP.

In the Playoffs

Over 4 games against the Pistons, LeBron averaged 32.0 / 11.3 / 7.5 / 1.5 / 0.8 on 62% TS.

Over 4 games against the Hawks, LeBron averaged 33.8 / 8.3 / 6.0 / 2.5 / 0.5 on 66.6% TS.

Over 6 games against the Magic, LeBron averaged 38.5 / 8.3 / 8.0 / 1.2 / 1.2 on 59% TS. (Of note: he averaged 15.7 free-throw attempts/game, including 24 in game 3)

Overall, he averaged 35.1 / 9.3 / 7.3 / 1.6 / 0.9 with 2.7 TOs on 61.8% True Shooting.

His advanced numbers are equally bonkers:

Led the league in win-shares and VORP (both cumulative stats) despite not making the Finals

WS/48: .399 (career playoff average: .244), the highest in NBA postseason history

PER: 37.4 (career playoff average: 28.3), 2nd highest in NBA postseason history

Free Throw rate: 63.8 (career playoff average 43.8).

OBPM: 14.4 (career playoff average 7.8)

BPM: 18.2 (career playoff average 11.1) - for reference, Russell Westbrook's 2016-17 MVP season that its creator admitted 'broke the stat' had a BPM of 15.6

I was about to ask if anyone had some good mixes from 2009 LeBron in the other thread too. 2009 was a great year in basketball. LeBron and Wade were making plays that shouldn’t be possible on a consistent basis. Dwight Howard was making his rise as one of the most dominant players of the league. Kobe and KG were still around and playing great basketball too. Good era.

Late 2000s was crazy stacked. LBJ, Dwade, Kobe, Duncan, KG and Dirk all had great seasons at some point

imagine if those two teamed up :oldlol:
Imagine that, they should win 5 championships together at minimum, nobody would be able to stop them.
