Became a football fan after watching Johnny Unitas beat the NYG in 1958. Baseball in the 1950's , Basketball in the 70's with IU and Pacers. Also college football in the 1960's when IU went to the Rose Bowl. The first one to say Damn your old, would be correct.

Became a Charles Barkley stan as 10 y/o circa 1990, when my family moved to the States for a few years.
In the mid-late 90s I followed the NBA via dial up internet, watching NBA Action on a Saturday and the NBA game of the week which was aired at 11pm (on a Tuesday night I think).
I stopped following the NBA closely for a few years in the early 2000s so missed seeing a few great players' peaks as they happened during that time.
I became a bit of a Lebron stan on a trip to the States in 2006, when I stayed with some friends in Cleveland, who told me all about how he was their messiah. And got right back into it on another US trip during the 2009 playoffs while I was staying with a mate in San Diego, who is a mad Kobe stan.
Been following closely since then.
